For our main quest, it involves a high elf wishing to prove the existance of Aldmeris to Nirn, so he sends you there magically, from there, it involves the relationships the different races have with eachother, especially the Yokumer who are bent on taking over Aldmeris, and hate the Cresmer in particular. The Vesmerkaz do trade with the Cresmer, and they both respect eachother, the Hosmer are often payed to take travellers through their mountain region, as they know the land very well. The Volsmer isolate themselves from the rest of Aldmeris, and do not like to be disturbed, the Hosmer long for peace, the Drethmer hide in their mountainsides and underground tunnels, they fear the Cresmer and are VERY sensitive to sunlight. That is pretty much it for relations between the races, so feel free to begin construction on a quest from there.
