I was thinking either really light wooden armor, or maybe very light silver armor, coated in gold.

They could also use leaves that are hardened with a resin of sorts or treated magickally to be hard enough to withstand a varying degree of weapons and assaults.

Yeah, that would be cool, Maybe leather armor as well?

So we have leaf, wood, and silver so far, any objections?

The wood wouldn't be very protective, unless it's 5 inches thick, but that would become extremely heavy, maybe a layer of wood supported by a layer of silver.

Well, we have silver already, so no. If it was the right type of wood, maybe like bamboo or something it could be pretty strong.

Yeah, It doesnt need to be too heavy, Volsmer prefer to have light armor, to allow them to be agile.

How about studded leather armor?
Or ring mail (that's not chainmail).
Or scalemail with each scale in the shape of a leaf? (That would be cool).

Wink

Studs are just small metal bumps in armour, generally leather, IIRC.

Studded leather armor is cool, but if we have the leaf thing, I would like it be of golden or brownish appearance, as they're culture is similar to that of the aztecs.

Not sure if leaves are good idea. I'd go more with feathers, leather, loincloth , etc. And leaves are VW material, so keep you many-raced fingers away. :D Wink

Some angular designs. Something like novice armor and Templar one from Gothic combined, if you saw it.

Haha, nothing just joking. I just realized there's feather armor in VW as well. :D

Three types of a leafy armour could always be made: a golden set for the king's guards, a brown-ish set for common soldiers (or perhaps a more red and brown set, as they don't want blood to stain it), and then maybe something green for the commoners. Or, to appease Valenwood... Grass Armour. lol :p
