I have most of our concept art in the ESF advertisement, I thinkit would be a better idea to post the art in the recruitment section, as that is where most will go to first.

The concept art is to drag them in!

If they have to go to the second page to see it, you have already lost them.

People love the lore, now you just need to give them what they need to see to believe in the mod!

I'm not going to be as extreme as hrafnkel, I'll check in and post, but I drop all my authority positions.

Wonder how the cresmer will turn out should htis be completed.

The only reason I'm going to 'extreme' lenghts is to avoid conflict, as it tends to breed around me when I'm not content with things. It's the same reason I tend to avoid the other mod-that-shall-not-be-named on here that I have issues with. Tongue

I think promotion without much substance behind it can do more harm than good in the long run, because even when that substance is there in the future a number of people will carry with them the impression they formed early on. If I would be so bold as to suggest anything it would be to take a step back, do the things that are needed, and then come back to ESF with for instance a heightmap and a finished town exterior, a video, and plenty of screenshots. Folks tend to like something solid to focus their interest on, and a town and/or heightmap could provide that, like the Imperial Districts provided for Reich Parkeep. Once folks can actually walk inside the mod and enter houses and such it seems much more real to them.

The other option, which I'm sure you won't like, would be to mothball Aldmeris and find less taxing prospects. Creating a whole continent with new architecture and new races would be a challenge for anyone and would require a lot of effort over several years to complete. I'm not saying it couldn't be done, but that it would require a lot from those who leads it when it comes to skills, management, advertising, experience, planning, and so on - and it wouldn't all be fun. Taking up a different prospect though would ease your burden and let you concentrate on the fun side of modding. It's up to you of course, and I don't mean to discourage you from doing what you want to do; just drive the point home that it will require a lot of you to pull it off.

Oh, and the links in the initial post of the PR thread on ESF were mucked up just like Arbiter said. They linked to "http:///". You can't really afford mistakes like that, guys.

Hey Aetherius, your PR on the TES forums says: "but we are still desperate for recruits" that is not good PR, if I was a modder looking to join a big mod and I would read that, I would think: they are desperate, it sounds like that mod is a sinking ship :alert:
