The Learned High Rock Edition of the Botany Books
The Learned High Rock edition of the Botany Books while situated in the
ST Literature Development Forum (where I have full moderator
privileges) is intended like the other Editions to assist and
ultimately find a home in the Province it describes = High Rock for
this one.
Until such time as any one edition is complete I consider each edition to be Literature rather than Lore.
Hopefully each edition will eventually cover all the Plants in any one
province, providing details of those plants (and animals as in my view
certain animals are an essential part of each plant's life cycle) and
their nature, and interactions with their environment - only limited by
the resource and imagination of the writer.
Also, with the Assistance of Krisi I have begun posting in-game stills
of plants from which drawings can be made for inclusion in the Books.
You are welcome to do this too.
Naturally the work required in an established Province such as High
Rock is very different from that in Elsweyr for example where so many
plants and animals have to be created from imagination, and the
loremasters purr a lot!. DO NOT MENTION CATNIP in polite conversation
there, as they tend to lose self control due to an unbearable itch to
roll in the stuff...
If you want to do a write up just bang away on your keyboard and post
it in the ST Lit Dev thread. Though this is fine by me for discussion.
Eventually I will turn over finished volume/s to the Leader of High Rock (
all hail the chief!) to include in this mod if he so desires. Meantime
editions in ST and other mods will hopefully act as 'advertising and
recruitment' showcases and tools for your mod.
In ST Literature Development you will see that the different Volumes of
the Botany Books are in various stages of development, and that the
contributions all have very different styles and technical standards...
that works for me in a world at war where survival is at a premium it
is a wonder that any academic lives long enough to make a single entry!
But bit by bit we will strive to make this complete.
