(City Council » Other Quests) Renegade Orc Warlord |
|
A renegade Orc Warlord who wants to take control over all of Highrock
has started to make an army of Orcs and Goblins. He has raided
Farms/villages/ and Outposts. His army is on the advance in shornhelm
and he has blocked one of the main roads because he has setup camp on
the road. You can either try to kill the Warlord, Get help or ask him
to move some how? We can expand on this idea if you like it?

Seems to epic, tone it down a bit.

Regarding the camp, I'm wondering if it would be possible to add
outdoor traps? Lots inside dingeons and so forth, but none outside.
This could be a good place to try them them.
Any ideas on the amount out together for the forces in question? A
single PC would have trouble with a large group, given OB's levelling
of NPC's.

EK, that is just it.
Oblivion is the first TES game to do that too. Should be neat to see how it works without the levelling.

DA since you say this is to epic. Lets say this renegade Orc Warlord
just conquered some Nobles castle and the noble fled for his life. He
asks you to take with him the rest of his knights break the seige of
the castle and bring him the Orc Warlords head once that the noble will
move in again and life will once again flourish the castle. Or we could
someone say swing it for the Orc Warlords way?

I think it is a good idea...
the orc warlord WANTS to conquer High Rock, but he doesn't necessarily have the power...
I think maybe there can be three sides...
Orsinium's, the Renegades, and Shornhelm's....
The Renegade obviously wants to survive and maybe you can help it win
several battles and guerilla warfare... and then eventually lay siege
to a Shornhelm controlled town (but never actually raze it and
slaughter everyone).
As Orsinium maybe you try to negotiate with or then quell the renegade
and bring the orcs into Orsinium... and if that fails, you help the
nearest orsinium border-garrison to deal with these renegades.
and of course Shornhelm just wants to kill them, so if you can kill
them... by either making the camp defect on the leader and have them
smashing each other, or by having the Shornhelm armed-forces come in,
either way its great...
but here you see different trends - helping them, initially peaceful negotations, and just flat out war.
EDIT: EbonyKnight's post just above mine also has a nice idea... and
maybe if the orc wins he can have the manor and it'll be transformed
into a like a retrofitted fort
except with nice robes and panties in the drawers and vineyards outside

Great idea, make it a miscellaneous quest by having the ousted noble
too embarressed to report it to higher ups, which is why the player
gets involved
