Aye, that was something we'd discussed lightly. Could be an interesting quest.

Knights of the Lamp are a Knightly Order that protects the Mages'
Guild. We should probably incorporate her into the Guild questline,
first and foremost.

yea... no kidding...
Order of the Lamp is Tamriel-wide or just High Rock?
and I think this could make very interesting stuff... Order of the Lamp
going in and hunting for Kogg but infringing on some orc's rights like
interrogation and the Orsinium goes along but then is angry when a few
citizens have been hurt by the order and there is a whole huge
confusion going on and Kogg escapes.... but when you become
Magister(?), maybe you have to hunt her down in secrecy, and she asks
if you really want to kill her or if she can teach you and help you
become a powerful necromancer... (dun dun DUN!)
I dunno, just an thought

I believe there's references to the Order outside of HR, but I'm not certain.

Makes Orsinium seem a little too modern-democratic...

no... I mean at first the orsinium gov't will say ok, but then as a few
citizens here and there get tortured or interrogated or killed the king
gets pissed... and I don't talk in a renaissance-medieval way so the
best way to describe it today is infringing on rights... obviously they
won't be talking like that in Orsinium, or High Rock... or Tamriel |

The Order of the Lamp aren't the Spanish Inquisition. They're a branch
of the scholarly mages' guild. Don't count on anyone being tortured.

Not in the confines of the Mages' Guild. They're still imperially
chartered, and have a reputation to uphold... They tend to be less
prone to outright corruption than the Fighters' Guild.

Well, they are a branch of the Mages' Guild, and said Guild tends to
abide by Imperial law pretty well since they rarely have reason not to.

Just to say it.. Things like that wary very much.. And if giving a
Necromancer to the law you can assume he/she is dead, by not long.. It
is a crime, who is punished by death in ES. If thought to be
Necromancer I can see people getting interrogated/tortured/killed, but
that won't be random people...

Necromancy isn't illegal. It's only banned by the guild... It was just illegal in MW.

Many necromancers acquire bodies by other means as well, though. At any
rate, the act itself is by no means illegal in the majority of the
Empire. Just disliked.

So wouldn't the order be no longer a branch of the MG if they are
necromancers or support necromancy? I'm not to good on the lore stuff.
