North Point

Currently, North Point has no useful game Lore associated with it (except for one minor reference) save for its map location and name in TES1. There is also no mod development done for the city at the time of this posting - anyone looking to develop the city has pretty much a clean slate to play with. The only item of any note is that the name spelling varies between "North Point" and "Northpoint" on some maps and in a few books.

North Point

Facts:
- Port city on the Eltheric Ocean.
- No record of any name being given to the large bay between this city and Farrun.

Lore
- An minor reference is made to an unnamed maiden who is described as having only found her true love after having slept with nearly everyone in the city.

TES1 Proto-Lore:
Note: The attached map has been altered from TES1 in that it has been flipped diagonally. The original map had the docks in the southwest, which makes no sense when the location of the city on the coast is taken into consideration.

- The weather here in TES1 is extremely foggy all summer and very snowy all winter.
- Only one city gate which opens to the south and in near the south-west "corner" of the city.
- Palace is to the north of the city, overlooking the Eltheric Ocean.
- Small park near the docks with trees and a fountain.
- Large park with cirlce of lamps near center and a well to the south.
- Centrally located town square.
- Unique feature - an inn near the south gate completely surrounded by a pond.
- At least two temples with the word "Justice" in their names (Which of the Nine stood for this quality specifically?)
- Smaller then average Mages Guild.
- More inns then is usual, which is fitting with the North Point being a port city.
- Entering North Point brings up the follwoing welcome message: "North Point hail thee, traveler. We wish you good fortune within our walls."

Development Suggestions
- Stendar as the patron of the city-state based, on the justice idea mentioned in the proto-Lore.

I believe Stendarr is the god of justice in the Imperial pantheon (or the closest thing to, at any rate - he's very big on law and order).

Concept came after a discussion with IATE. There is going to be a boardwalk/Pier on which there is going to be a run down Fanfair ontop of, including a Circus building (like this) for The Quill Circus, and will have a Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary underneath (though the main Circus is the traveling Quill Circus which is where the player will get the faction quests from). Other things on the Pier will be, a House of Mirrors (which will be mostly, if not all broken inside), a Funhouse (manikins inside, scary clowns, etc), and various stalls that will be set up.

IATE will be posting his own concepts for other parts of the city soon, including the layout.

I apologize for my extended absence with this, but I've been once again swamped with irl stuff.

I'm just letting you know that I will finish up a very basic map of the city, just to give TOYB a basic idea for when he makes his good quality version of it. But after I'm done with that, I'm not going to do anything else for High Rock, at least until I manage to sort out many different priorities.
