An update on the game plan/schedule of Skyrim for Oblivion:
Teasers:
Riekling Race: Will be released as soon as they are created.
Falmer: ??? May be released after completion.
Reachmen: ??? May be released after completion.
Haerter Gap Teaser: Target release date is September 1st, we hope to keep it, but it is subject to change.
Other Teasers: We will release Videos, small mods, and possibly
modder's resources, betas, and maybe even some kind of a competition.
We have no specific plans or release dates for these as of now, but
they will occur as we go forward with the project.
Skyrim for Oblivion:
The Rift: The Rift area will be released as a beta once all settlements
are mostly complete, the area is playable, and the mainquest for the
region is complete. We don't have a timetable for this, but I would
like to see a release before the end of this year, and I will atempt to
keep that.
Eastern Skyrim: This will be composed of the 6 Eastern Holds of Skyrim:
The Rift, The Pale, White Hold, Northshore, Winter Hold, and Eastmarch.
This will not be a beta, I hope to have a completed mainquest that
takes you all across our completed landmass, complete faction
questlines, sidequestlines, dungeons, and a bug free file. We do not
have a set release date, though idealicly we can complete this in
roughly 2 years. I hope to unveil the details of the Eastern Skyrim
Mainquestline relatively soon.
Western Skyrim: This will be composed of the Western 3 Holds of Skyrim:
Haafinheim, The Reach, and Falcrentheim. We will begin work on this
after we complete Eastern Skyrim. All the same standards will aply
here, and hopefully it can be completed in roughly a year. We hope to
have a mainquestline featuring either the city of Orsinium and the
Orcish people rebelling in an atempt to gain provincial status, or a
war with High Rock. Should Eastern Skyrim progress more slowly than
planned, and with ES V nearing release (say a year) and indications
saying that W. Skyrim will progress no more rapidly than E. Skyrim, we
will release it Hold by Hold. Each Hold being complete with questlines,
ect, and bug free. Which Hold we do first will be decided by general
consensus within the mod team.

I am very interested in your project as I have already modded Riften
along with a small village located just over the mountian from the
Azure Shrine. There is a road from just east of the shrine, where the
Oblivion Gate will appear, that leads to Glenhearth Vale, the village I
created and then to the east to Riften. The player can walk from
Cyrodill to Skyrim in my Mod. I have a player house there along with an
Inn and a general merchandise shop with NPC's to handle sales, and
rental of beds, as in the main game. I would like to be a part of your
project, so please contact me, that is if you want what input I may
contribute. I do not do mesh and texture work, sofar that is, but I can
do design and layout as well as flesh out areas, clutter, furniture,
NPC's, creatures and the like for interiors, city streets, and
wilderness. |

Ooo a modder!
WELLCOME TO SKYRIM FOR OBLIVION Eersul!
Your skills in the CS will certainly be useful here. At the moment
there is not much CS work to do except for dungeons and some Riften
interiors.
However you might be interested in creating some concept maps or
drawings for the villages, towns and cities of Skyrim. All the towns
from the Rift region have been claimed and with the exception of
Sunguard (witch is on hold) Riften is the only town that still needs
some interiors made, so if you want to build something on a bigger
scale you will have to wait a bit until the claims for the other
regions go up.
If you are interested in doing a city (since you already have
experience in that field) you can look at the map of the Holds posted
in this thread and do a concept for a city or town from the Eastmarch
or Falkreath (Falcrentheim) area. I suggest that you familiarize
yourself with the lore and geography of Skyrim, as it will certainly
help when trying to create something out of nothing.
Enjoy your stay and have fun!

I'm really interested in this project... Being a 360 player I guess I can't get it...
I'd love to give imput... With my small knowledge of the Nordic
culture... <laughs> I'll be doing some reading of course...

Welcome man, and sure that's OK
Best place to start would probably be to post up some ideas on the quest board.
BTW if you're ever interested in learning to mod I'm sure someone would be happy to help you.

That map in the second post could do with a more prominent position on
this here forum. The 'General info on Skyrim' thread perhaps? Because I
always forget where it is =/

Hi, I'm new to this site. I love the Nordic race and would be honoured to help Skyrim come into being any way I can.
Unfortunately, I can't mod, but I can help with any concept art
(people, flora and fauna are specialities) and any female voicework
that needs doing.
Anyway - it's great work that you all are doing and if there's any way I can help I'd love to!

Thanks for the unofficial welcome, Mormacil!
I've been lurking around the forums for a few days and just plucked up the courage to make myself known
I did put a topic in the audio development part of the main forum, so
hopefully SACarrow will see it - I feel a bit rude just randomly
sending them a message when they've no clue who I am and I'm sure
they're busy! |

Welcome to Skyrim Ellyeana! We're not working on voice acting at the
moment, but as Mormacil pointed out SACarrow is in charge of voice
acting for the Silgrad Tower mod, so he's the guy to contact for that
kinda thing. Flora concept art is definitely something we need though,
so it'd be great if you did some of that.

Hey, it's a girl...QUICK, CATCH HER IN THE BIG NET BEFORE SHE ESCAPES!
Well okay maybe not just yet, but if the time comes for some voice
acting we probably could.
On a more serious note, welcome!

Hey everyone, I'm new too, and I've been looking for some expansion
mods like this. I would like to help too, though I can't mod for
Oblivion, I have modded (Not very well
) for the Quake engine (JK3:JA).
Wouldn't mind learning though, as some might call me a computer enthusiast with spare time on his hands.

I'm not technically new here - I did a handful of ancient textures
which probably won't be used since I was only filling in before the
project had a decent texture artist. I'd be surprised if there was
anybody here who still remembered me.
Anyway, I figured I'd come back and lend a hand. I can do pretty much
anything in some capacity, though CS related tasks are the easiest for
me; particularly interior cell building and AI.
So, hello again.

I'm still lurking around here, I'm not in charge anymore and I don't do
much, but I remember you. And I do believe that your Falmer Armor
textures are still in our master file
