Atmorans

maybe somewhere off the coast of Skyrim there is an island with real Atmorans on it?
I dunno, its just an idea I thought of... of course they'd look like Nords... but very different in culture as they separated and grew differently... Atmora, since the First Era, has been even colder than Skyrim.... though it wa warmer once upon a time...

Kind of makes sense that there might be, but it would have to be off the northern coast...

although it seems the mod won't include anything other than eastmarch n the rift , I think there are atmorans/nedes alive still , although that doesn't seem to matter too much

Pretty sure they all died when Atmora froze over. From what I understand, islands in the Sea of Ghosts just north of Skyrim are pretty much inhospitable and barely inhabited. Many still remain undiscovered, so it's probably safe to say that Atmora would be pretty much 100% dead beyond a few frost atronachs who might like it.

as I understand, the 'immune to frost' is not quite so immune , or did they just run out of food ?

although I don't know where this sentence is from , I found it in some forum: The Nedic (Men) hail from Atmora. In the third era, Atmora is a frozen wasteland. Some humans still live in Atmora, but due to it's cold weather the land is in constant decline. These humans are hostile raiders.

probably back from when TOYB wanted to make an atmora mod. its not true btw, atmora was uninhabitable as far back as the early 1st era (the last survivors arived in skyrim in 1E69 iirc)

aight , I suppose there ain't a really big difference since there are glaciers in skyrim and a nede/atmoran is basically a nord who cant read or write

I thought I read that too, but I think something in the Song of Wulfharth contradicts that. Though I still think that takes place in 1st Era.

Just checked:

1E 482 - Battle of Glenumbria Moors
Date of the battle between the Alessian Order and the Direnni Elves of High Rock, under the command of Aiden Direnni. The order was soundly defeated by the Elves at the cost of much of the Elven power in High Rock. The Elves were finally defeated by the Cyrodiil Empire in 1E 498. [From the wiki].

So until at least 1E 500 it was still hospitable. Who's to say when mini iceages come in and out, so I guess in theory one could always do a colonization thing.....not that it is relevant to this mod anymore.

Ooh a lore contradiction!

It says here that the last two ships that arrived from Atmora did so in 1E68 as Lady N said, and were laden with the frozen corpses of those who died on the journey. It also states that more recent expeditions to Atmora have showed no signs of life at all.

more like mythology, which in most cases doesnt have to be correct. And anyhow, he was elected in skyrim. his title is "of atmora" cause he is descended from there I suppose. I could be called LN of Russia, but that dosent mean I'm there rightnow.
