Silgrad Teaser: The Riekling Salesman

I think our project should come up with somekind of a teaser to get some publicity, so here's my idea on the subject. Once we complete a Riekling race we create a Riekling Merchant and stick him just outside Bruma. He'll sell an armor and weapon set that has been created for our mod, and maybe a few other unique items. Also he'll give little bits of lore and info about our mod, and if you ask him about Falmer he'll tell our project's official position (yet to be decided) on them. All the dialogue will be humorous, and you'll actually get the feeling you're talking to a dimwitted Riekling. He will also tell you about a cave where you can find a full set of Falmer armor and weapons. Once you get to the cave it will use one of our new tilesets, and feature a few of our new creatures. At the end of the dungeon will be LostInGeneral's Falmer armor and weapon set. In addition it will make Rieklings a playable race. So, what do you guys think? Would this make a good teaser?

I think there should be a Nord and a Riekling... the Nord will talk more about the politics and weaponry and such... Rieklings about the land and beasts and such... and the funny thing will be the Riekling thinks that the Nord is a man he had tamed and makes to carry the heavy equipment, while the Nord thinks the Riekling is a little guy who he made into a slave to help carry the furs and get kindling and stuff....
and they both speak as if they own the shop....

although now that I think of it, this idea is sounding a lot like Vvardenfell's teaser mod...

Ahh, funny idea with the ownership there Kukulza. I suppose the sounding like Vvardenfell part would be that what you guys are doing is probably the best, most effective way to go about a teaser.

by the way, why is it called Silgrad teaser? shouldn't it be skyrim?

Two things I'd change...

Since we aren't quite certain about the whole Falmer issue at this point, and there's going to be a Riekling, why not make the Riekling the playable race instead?

As for the Falmer set, I think we might want to name it something else for the time being and change it back later if it's given the "thumbs-up".

Sorry, I meant the race would be Riekling. Just another typo as I was going fast, edited it now. As for the whole Falmer lore issue we don't have everything we need for the teaser yet, and we don't know when we'll have it, so by the time we do have it we might have made a decision on the Falmer by then.

Allthough I think you should?nt just be told where the dungeon is, maybe a quest that leads to the dungeon? Should be alittle more "intricate" me thinks.

If it is to be Falmer related, maybe the riekling speaks about falmers and his interest of them (he might be interested since some say the rieklings are the falmers of today) and mentions a book you should read.
You get the book which speaks about something that happened and etc etc and so on and so forth, then you get to the dungeon after perhaps consulting the riekling again...

A research/archeological type quest... Just (part of) an idea though...
What do you think?

I?ll record some riekling voice samples tomorrow! I think I read they should sound alittle like Goblin shrieks, right? And alittle humerous?
