That is cool, really cool.
Sorry about not doing the video yet, I didn't realise how much work I had last weekend, and I've had a lot to do all week.

I made a start on it last weekend, but I can't do anything this
weekend. I'm going to see muse on saturday so I'll be leaving early so
I can get a good place and I'm going out to do some photography with a
friend on sunday. I might be able to do some before I go to muse. I'll
try, but I'm still getting footage atm, getting the right videos has
been harder than I previously thought. |

We always need some additional tracks.
Welcome to Skyrim for Oblivion!
If you would like to compose something for Skyrim feel free to make a
short sample tune (1 min or so) that you think might fit in with the
atmosphere of the place. You can try composing some... err... frosty
sounding music
for ice cave interiors as it was suggested somewhere in this thread.
Enjoy your stay!

Hi and welcome to Skyrim!!!
The more the merrier!!! We plan (I believe) to have quite abit of
unique music for special occations, so we?ll need a lot of music and
all of it does?nt need to be "generic" so to speak.
What we have so far is the stuff I made, as well as bobby hoods awesome
battle tunes he posted for Skyrim in the acoustic development boards..
So feel free to compose!!!
I?d recommend to look around the forums abit and see whats going on in
Skyrim if you?d like to make something for special occation(s)...
Looking forward to hearing!!!

theme.
Check it out here!

It starts off as a public track and then splits into a battle, really you could split them and have a public and a battle.

Correct me if I'm wrong, wouldn't the grammatically correct middle
english or w/e be "Ye Old Bard", as Ye means the right? So currently it
would mean The Old the Bard. |

As far as I was aware 'ye' in Old English means you, except it's the plural e.g.
Ye silly bards
Thou silly bard
substituting 'the' with 'ye' is a modern thing.

Ah
I should have guessed that Ye was the plural of you. My line of thought
though was that since Thou was you, Ye must be the. Thing is though
that the use of ye and thou is derived from German, which has a plural
form of you, "ihr". |

Yes, It's good that we get to discuss grammar in a thread called "Music heading".
Anyway, I like the new music piece... especially the end, though the
whole tune is nice. The only thing I can suggest is adding some quiet
string instruments in the background at the beginning (and perhaps the
middle) to smoothen out the transition of the already present string
orchestration.

Sounds very nice me thinks!!!
I love the tune, and the percussion stuff in the end is awesome!!
I think it might be worthwhile trying to lower the tempo alittle in the
first part and maybe some tinkering with the volumes to make it alittle
more dynamic and ambient. And maybe add some more reverb on the whole
thing. I think the tune is great though, just some mixing to lift it to
the next level (which is very great, and super awesome
).
Can?t wait to hear more!!!

Thanks for the comments!
Sulan, yup I know, like I said it is still a demo, I will record it by
sections for the final version, meaning small reverb per section then a
final reverb for them when they are mixed. As for dynamics, not sure
what I will do but there will be changes in dynamics. And this was
composed with one tempo, final version will have a constantly changing
tempo (not by much) but enough to not sound robotic. |

It absolutely rulz!
It sounds just as it is titled.
It has a sad and snowy melody, I can imagine a Nord pushing himself
trough an endless landscape of deep snow while snow flakes slowly fall
from a grey sky.
I hope the final version will be longer because I love it.

Wow!! It?s amazing!!!
I love it too!!! I?d love it even more if it was longer
I like the flutes coming in somewhere in the middle, gives it a "folkly" and mysterious feel I think...

This music needs to be specific only to High Hrothgar, it's just that good!
I can imagine climbing the staircases and exploring the many rooms,
going past old ancient greybeards sleeping in silence, while listening
to your music.

Awesome, I am glad you like it. I am going to add some brass to this
and make it a pick up some tempo (after all of the variations already
present that is) to make it sound a bit more adventuresque. The theme
will also be made into a seperate battle theme, I already have it all
planned out in my head lol. |

celtic song called The Rights of Man. Google or do a limewire search
for the group called the Chieftains.
I also play the bagpipes, so perhaps magic could happen provided I had a high enough quality microphone.

It was posted on august 21, 2006, so God knows, it's outdated.
For those prices, you could just fly me out to one of your houses and record it there.
No, highland bagpipes are quite easy to record. In fact, you could pick one up 2 miles away.
When I first got the set, I recorded the sound on just a junky little digital camera.

I can?t say I love the sound of your camera , but it?s certainly
listenable so with a decent mic I guess you?ll get a good result.
It?d be awesome with some bagpipe music in the mod me thinks!!!

Here is some new stuff I have:
*First there is the same battle song I was working on earlier, only I
got nuts and now it?s pretty far out the scale of crazy. But Psychotic
will like it I?m sure
.
Seriously I need advice with this one, it?s really cool I think but maybe a tad too extreme... Please comment!
Battle0_sketch2
*And here is an early sketch of an atmospheric, what do you think? Is
it too cheesy? I?m thinking I might redo the first minute with the harp
and flute...

Wow beautiful
I really love the second one

Both of the tracks are great... as usual.
I like the battle track, it has a slight evil/dark feeling to it.
The atmosphere track is also nice, but it's a little too laid back... as least for my taste.

I love the battle track at the start, but it feels like you lost it a
bit in the second half and it goes somewhat downhill, and a little
overkill, maybe it's just though. The second one is sooooooooooooooo
airy, I don't see how it could be cheesey though, excellent as an
atmosphere tune I'd say. |
