Just wondering... I was reading something where an Altmer declares, "Reiklings are nothing but snow goblins, they are not descended from Falmer." The Skaal thing they are descended from Falmer.

Now... What do Reiklings and Skall look like? I assume we're having them in the game? I was just assuming they were other nords...

And will we have a quest about the Falmer? Since the Nords use the superstition of the "Snow Elves" as cause for many problems facing them..

A breif over view

Skall - Nords who are native to Solstheim. They are very warrior like and are very "with nature" (I'm not very good at explaining things...someone else will do better)

Reiklings - Snow "Goblins" who are bloody annoying and are also native to solstheim.

Falmer - Elves once native to skyrim, now extinct as Early Nords waged war with them.

Hmmm... The Nords seem to like blaming problems of the night on them. And the Skaal believe the Reiklings are their descendents... I'd like to work Falmer into the quests... Actually discovering they DO still exist... Heh.

The Nords blame anything bad that ever happens on the Falmer

Lore states their are no Falmer, I contend that unlike the Dwemer the Falmer were systematically executed by the Nords, I have always found it difficult to believe that some Falmer did not escape and set up home somewhere else.

So cudos to you if you can bring them back

the Falmer may have been a northern remnant of the Heartlands high elves that simply moved into snowy areas. These Ayleids developed a culture around the harsh natural habitat in which they lived and became quite powerful in their own right, but not enough so to become a powerful force. However they probably retained the heirarchy and class system of the Ayleids and simply adapted them into their snowy-climate society. They're good warriors (or at least their last prince was) and if they weren't all killed off, they used their Ayleidic powers to hide or escape as Ayleids do, and they live in the wilds of Cyrodiil.... the most highly populated province...

and Reiklings could have simply been analogous to Falmer as goblins are to altmer... and probably were the larger part of any Falmeri army as the Falmer probably weren't numerous (considering slow growth of Merish populations and the harsh climate of Skyrim) so they needed plenty of these tough midget-smurfs to hold the line....
and maybe after a long time, the two races became practically the same in Nordic eyes, perhaps they misunderstood and though these were a type of Falmer... but whatever the case, they claim that these Reiklings are Falmer... I dunno

thats mY theory... but don't take my word for it

Someone worked on modifying the orc face and making a Riekling character out of it. It looked very good but I can?t remember which thread it was.
I also have a few concepts of Riekling burrows (settlements) in the concept art section...

Riekling sounds funny!! :D
