Looks unique. Save it for a unique shield, like a quest shield or something.

Like the quests you had with Solstheim were the sun was trapped
This could be a very nice quest, perhaps either fire or frostshield, or
light on self, Blind on target(who faces the player, maybe just hostiles
)

Yeah, it will be used for a quest or something.
Blinding enemies was just what I had in mind, but someone will need to
make a script so that the player doesn't have to cast an actual blind
spell... even better if the spell would work only on enemies that are
in front of the player.
I have a simple request to make.
Can someone re-UV map the Skingrad townguard shield? I want to be able
to place one continuous image over the entire face of the shield
without any mirroring of that image. The part of the texture I colored
green (see the image of the Skingrad townguard shield texture below) is
mirrored along the vertical and horizontal axis of the shield, and the
blue part is attached to the middle of the shield without any mirroring.
Basically what I need is for the whole front surface of the shield to
be like the blue part, no mirroring, no nothing, just one continuous
image. This mirroring thing is a real pain when I try to apply one none
symmetrical image to the whole front surface of the shield.
I don't know a lot about UV mapping, but I don't think this is difficult to do.
So if someone can help me out I would really appreciate it... and I will be able to make more unique shields.

Well the casting of the blind spell to guys in front of you aint that
hard (could be pretty cpu intensive though)... the problem is the
blinding, how the hell do you want to simulate that??
Nice shield btw
Edit: Now that I think of it, me confusion spell (the one with the
goblins running of cliffs :p) could actually look like blinding with
some imagination.
Edit2: Actually it doesnt, blinded people would grab there eyes, not run around like chickens without heads.

In oblivion they always hit, you can lower their damage but it wouldn't look like there blinded
I rememebr there was some way of darkening the screen with shaders but no clue hoe wit works.

Lol. They look good and all... but like... I think players will
probably start some running joke about Skyrim, shields, and never
seeing the same one twice.

Can you guys also texture armor and swords? that would be great
(although most shields are great already, but you made more shields then there are in vanilla)

I could...but well...texturing is EVIL, all texturers are EVIL too.

I re-textured a complete armor for the Bear Legion, see it here.
I also re-textured one complete weapon set, the Nordic silver weapon
set. I also put together the snow bear cuirass in NifScope, but I only
recently found out how to make it work in the CS (and in-game)... I'll
post that soon.
Anyway I like re-texturing shields, it's quick and simple work.

Actually you can forget the snow bear cuirass.
Sure I made it work in the CS, but it looked terrible. Basically the
meshes I was trying to glue together in NifScope don't fit well
together... nothing I can do about it as far as NifScope goes.

TOYB asked about the rest of the bear armor........I am hesitant to atempt.
I have throughly studied the tes3 mesh, the details on the texture. I
have been tempted. but leaving it as of the near future atleast. its
actually quite a nice cuirass and pauldron set. and the gauntlets could
be very nice.

[Whispers] Yes it would look very nice wouldn't it, come on, you know
you want to, do it, just do it, submit to the whispering and make the
cuirass

In medieval times, armour would be very similar in comparison to the
thousands of different shield emblems there would be. Think about it,
there aren't really that many variations in armour materials and there
a probably a few different styles you could have for each material,
whereas there is an infinite number of emblems you could have on a
shield and a lot would be unique, then there are loads of different
shapes and materials too.
I don't think time is wasted on making shields at all, asthetic variations amongst armour is a step towards realism.

Excellent work as always, Psych!
And I agree with LC; although it would be nice to see some different Skyrim armour

I did make shields for all the guards of Skyrim a while back, it just wasn't decided which shield goes where.
