I have my hands full with coursework at the moment, but I reckon I can
still get some work done in what little free time I have. |

What textures should I use for the ground in Reich Parkeep?

I'll assume you meant Reich Corrigate
, I get confused myself sometimes. Use Colovian Highland stuff, as well as whatever cobblestone textures you think look best.

What exactly is the terrain in area 17 going to be like? I'm just
wondering because I'd like to mix a few trees of whatever the climate
type is into the fringes of the redwood forest.
BTW this thread should be stickied.

Not sure, probably pine forests near the borders with your claim.
- Thread Stickied -
Edit:
Damn, I just noticed I screwed up all the coordinates on the map below
-16, which means that I created Area-2 two cells north of where it
should be. I've amended the map to compensate for this, the area
surrounded by light blue is now part of Area-2, while the area marked
in red is part of Area1, brown is now Part of Area-9, and the green is
part of Area-12. new road positions are in green.
I am such an idiot...

Anyone know of any good landscaping tutorials? I tried to start the icy wasteland but I've got no idea what I'm doing
I'm not claiming anything btw
If I'm any good at this landscaping business I probably will.

Those three are all the same tutorial, just spilt up into each section (They follow through from each other).

What flora (of the harvestable ingredient plant kind) should I have growing in Reich Corigate?

Probably a combination of what is seen growing in the Redwoods and the Aspen Forests, but thats Alasdair's call really.
Also I'm wondering if I could make a bit of a request, can there be
some scotch pines and young redwoods (maybe some green aspens too?),
along with some greener grass textures to help it blend into the
Redwoods better? I've got some patches of Aspens and stuff on the edge
of the redwoods to help blend things on my end. |

For Reich corrigate, using a mix of whatever is in Siegfried's redwoods
and my Aspen forest is probably a good idea. I can't remember exactly
what I used, but it was mostly just stuff you would find in the
colovian highlands.
Blending the regions together is perfectly acceptable too, as are green
Aspens. I think I filled the Rift with plenty of the pretty gold ones.

Ok redwoods + CH. The reason I think it's important is because you
don't find nightshade in the Jerrals for instance, or aloe vera in
Cheydanhal. It helps give each region a feeling of it's own. I think we
should actually specify what types exactly can be used in each region
in addition to ground textures and trees.

Who's doing 4 and 1? I need to coordinate with you. Well ok maybe not,
I'll just hand Reich Corigate over to that person when I'm done for
'blending in'. I haven't done anything outside of the walls except a
few changes to a hillside (within the bounds of the 9 cells of Reich
Corigate still though)

I've claimed 1, though I haven't done any work on it yet. Nobody to my
knowledge has 4, so if you'd like I imagine you could go right ahead
and make it yourself if you want. |

I didn't really enjoy the landscaping side of things with Vernim Wood
so I might leave this for someone else at the moment. I'll have a play
in the CS with the region editor and stuff for some practice but at the
moment I'm not really up to doing it =(

It's probably me who's in charge of blending the regions together, and
I'll figure out how to best do that once I get to that stage.
BTW the screenshots are very nice!

Hi there, Alasdair. Before I go too much further with my claim. I'm
having a problem with your Aspen forest landscape just disappearing...
I'm not sure why.
I tried both with my area and without it enabled in the launcher... Anyone else have the same problem?

The new .esm on its own. I tried both with my Pine Forest .esp checked and without it. The same result.

Does it do that with just oblivion.esm and SkyrimResourceMaster.esm? or are there any other files running at all?

I'll try tonight with just the oblivion .esm and skyrim .esm and see what happens.

It's all dandy. One of my other mods must be getting rid of the
landscape. It works just fine with my area, the Skyrim .esm and
Oblivion .esm.

Good to hear
Do you run AWS? It's just when I used to use it it made the land in Silgrad Tower disappear.
Oh yeah and I'm gonna get started setting up building region parameters
for area 1, since I can't work on the Redwoods at the moment (someone
please read my post in the Master File thread!). |

Depending on how I go after doing the buyable house I'll probably do Area 4 also (the land around Reich Corigate.)

Once I finish with Area 7 and 8 I'll probably do number 3, but we still
need a way of creating The Rift Itself. Maybe I could model a canyon
with my new-found modelling talents.
Oh and an interesting screenshot of the Rift.

Vernim wood is in the northmost square of the Redwoods region (the darkest green bit)
As for the canyon, and Entius gorge style region would work, and that may well end up how we do it.

Is it ok if I have a fort in Area 4?

Alasdair, what's that place I see in the new master at 54,-02 or
thereabouts? It's a town made of the Nordic Halls set, situated on a
river.

Is there anything you want me to work on in the Vernim Wood/Pagran Village area to polish it up for the beta we discussed?

Yep, but you'll have to wait till tomorrow to find out!
It's quite late here, so i'll post some info about our plans tomorrow morning (and respond to your PM then).
If you really want to do something, maybe start a cave/grotto? We need
a few of those. There are also several interiors for Pagran Village
that need done, such as the main hall to the south, the building beside
the lake, and the longhouse to the east. There's also a half finished
interior in the latest file which needs finished. |
