Bizarre door locking issues |
|
I notice, as with Vernim Wood, my Reich Corigate NPCs are permanantly
locking their doors when using the default aaaDefaultHomeOwner package.
It has the exact same lock boxes checked as say
aaaServicesEditorLoc8x12LockAtEnd, which works fine. I'm out of ideas,
someone help me =(
I use this package for NPCs with no problems in my other non Skyrim mods all the time. It's just plain weird.
An example in the attached esp is 1SKxxRIxxReichCorFyradi (or whatever
I've called her). Take a look at her packages, and tell me there's no
reason those shouldn't work right?

Some of your NPC's seem to be obsessively locking their doors in Riften too, but some others aren't.
I am unfortunately pretty clueless when it comes to AI, so I can't really help you.

I'll have a look after work but I'd say its probably best to make your own Home Owner AI Package and use that.

I was about to say that-- give making a custom package a try, that may
also give you a little more insight into what is causing the problem
with the normal AI package.
Also, try contacting Oblivion Mon about it, as he is supposed to be an AI-Geek

The door locking thing in Riften Alasdair, that would be beacuse I
didn't GIVE those NPCs any AI as it would be pointless at that stage of
development lol. With towns I entirely govern (like Vernim and Reich
Cor), I can give them AI because I have all the shops and outdoor
spaces etc so I can make them do things.
But yeah I need you guys to test this to make sure it's not just a mod I'm running that messes with that AI package.

I dunno, I'm waiting for someone who isn't me to test it ingame to see
if it's just my setup. I mean yeah sure I could just make custom
packages, but that would just treat the symptoms not the cause =(
If some more people could test it would be good
Edit 2007.07.06 05:57:
Right what I'll do is leave it as is; if you have this problem also Dan
(as you're who the file is going to next) you can...uh...fix it becuase
I'm out of ideas lol. Well, short of changing everyone's AI so they
don't use the troublesome package but that sucks because it's like the
most useful package in the game =(
