Voice Acting? (Can I make a Claim?) Reply to this Post Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Posts Report Post to a Moderator       Go to the top of this page

Out of curiosity- will this mod be fully voice-acted? If so, do you generally hold auditions? I only ask because I'd love to do a Nord Male voiceover, and I have some acquaintances that were aslo excited about contributing to Skyrim back when I was preplanning to launch my own mod (before I found this team).

I think I should mention that I'm semi-conversational in Norwegian and Icelandic, and have been told by native speakers that I have a very good accent, thus I am skilled at sounding like a northern/Scandinavian sort of person. I also have acting experience.

Anyway, let me know and I can send you some samples. Thanks.

I can't seem to find any specific dialog that needs voicing (as unbelievable as that seems Tongue ), but you can try recording a generic line.

Try something like "Welcome to Riften traveler"... or a classic like "You like to dance close to the fire, don't you?!". :D

Do we even have any lines written lol? That makes me think of another thing; are we going to redo all the Nord rumours and generic crap like that? Because if we don't (and we can't really use the majority of the Cyrodiil rumours anyway) when one of our people talks they'll have a mix of our voice actors and the default Beth ones.

I'll record as many generic lines as you need me to to get the voices to match up. I don't care if I have 10 lines or 1000. I could also do a pretty good Breton/Imperial, as well as a decent Celtic/Irish-type accent to add variety if you need it.

Also, how Scandinavian do you want the Nords to sound? I recorded "Welcome to Skyrim, traveler." three differnet times: one VERY Scandinavian, one that's sort of intermediate, and one that sounds more like the old Nords (mostly British but with some hints of Scandinavian.) Which would you prefer?

I would need to hear all versions before I comment, as this is something I can't decide by reading a written description.

Can you upload them?
