This file is an update for the previous Skyrim master file, if you don't have the previous version download it here.

You can get the update here.

This new file includes:
  • Exteriors for my tileset.
  • The exterior pieces SACarrow has converted.
  • Lots of the Rift's exteriors.
  • Some retextures of tapestries and rugs etc.
  • The music that was made for us ages ago by -Sulan- and bobbyhood.

Things that need doing for the next update:
  • Collision and interiors for my tileset.
  • Functional world map for Eastern Skyrim
  • The exterior of the Rift completed
  • The interior pieces for the stuff SACarrow has converted
  • I'd like to see some work on Riften Legion fort and Greenwood started, I tested the exteriors for SACarrows set by making some of Pagran Villiage (which is in Rift area 17). So hopefully we can see some new towns next release.
  • Reich Corrigate needs to be fixed and merged.

Please say if you think I've missed anything out, I can release another small update if need be.

Depends how you define playable really.

You can wander around parts of Skyrim, but that's about it for the moment.

Ok. And the last one DIDN'T? That's what I need to know, because I'm not sure if I need that too or if I already have it.

Most of my stuff is missing from this latest file. I can only find my LC rugs, and even then they're only on the top 'tier' of Static. My tapestries and retextured basement set aren't there at all =(

So, missing is:

- my tapestries
- my basement set
- WhiteWizard's Senaria rugs and tapestries resource, )if you intended on using that)

There wasn't a 'Skyrim Alpha 01' was there?

The file in this thread - [Relz]New Master File was really Alpha 01, even if I didn't call it that. Looks like I forgot the stuff you mentioned though. Dunce I'll release another update containing it soon.

I think we should put the tapestries and rugs in a special category in Static/clutter like we've done with Static/architecture/1SK for our architecture. Like:

Static/clutter/1SK/lowerclass
Static/clutter/1SK/upperclass

My rugs and tapestries would be lowerclass, Green anti-n00b's tapestries and WhiteWizard's Senaria stuff would be upperclass I guess.

I usually just put them were the modder who made them did, I don't fancy changing the texture paths of everything submitted.

You don't have to change the texture paths in the nifs, they can stay the same. It's the nifs themsleves I'm talking about, as their location determines where something will be in the master file...I think.

The only part of Skyrim which is being worked on currently is the south eastern corner. It's still very much a modders resource atm, although hopefully the next Alpha will have the exterior of the Rift finished.

This is really awsome. I downloaded the alphas and used "coc" to get to skyrim and it looks really great, especailly the village/town with the spiked walls. One problem though is that the land disappears if you don't load this first of the other esms. I have silgrad tower installed and skyrim but if I load silgrad tower first then skyrim loses it's ground. Silgrad tower doesn't have this problem for me no matter how it is loaded. So I guess my question is will this work with the other BC mods coming out since you can only load one esm first? If the other mods lose their land also unless loaded first then I will only be able have one mod active period (besides ST since it doesn't have to be loaded in a certain order).

Lol, sorry for the bad typing. Anyways I'll break it down for everyone.
1. I downloaded the two Skyrim Alphas (great job btw)

2. I went to Skyrim using the console (coc "Riften03")

3. The land/ground of Skyrim was gone when I went there so I changed the Esm's load order to be loaded first.

4. It fixed it.

5. My question was, what if the other BC projects have to be loaded first to have solid ground also.

6. If they do then how will I be able to run more than one BC mod at a time since you are only able to have one mod be at the top of the load order for oblivion.

Currently the ESM is load order dependent, but that will be fixed for the beta release using TES4geckos move woldspace feature, and the esp/esm pair feature.

Thanks, I made that one =)

The NPCs keep locking their doors all the time though when they use the default homeowner package, for no reason. NPCs in Cyrodiil using the same package don't do this. So someone needs to change it I think

Once we have the Exteriors for the Rift done (I'm working on that at the moment) and collision for my tileset. Then I'll consider releasing a new master file, it really depends on how much is done - and whether that warrants an update.

The rest of Seigfried's Redwoods is the only exterior in the Rift that still needs to be completed. I don't know whether you would be interested, I'm pretty busy with modeling stuff ATM.

What exactly needs to be done? Just the rest of the region? Didn't Sieg do it by hand, as well?

Yep, just the rest of the region. Sieg has already done most of it by hand, so you would just need to complete the remaining cells. I imagine you could use the region editor for completely incomplete cells, but any cells which are partly hand done would be best completed by hand.

Edit: Just remembered, we also need Caves and Forts too, if that's something you would be more interested in doing.

Hmmm....I like exterior work but by hand would kinda get on my nerves. Still I'm not a huge fan of dungeons (more houses for me...) so I'll give it a go. Maybe just send me the file when you're done and I'll get to it and send it back?

All Sieg's work is in the current master, you just have to load it up and get to work with a new plugin. Of course if you want to do a house, you could always mod in the Theives guild head quarters in Riften. It's claim 12 in this thread, though you would probably need to ask Cuthalion about it as he's developing the questline. Houses 6 and 10 are also unclaimed in that particular thread.

Alasdair, for the next update would you be able to place the nifs for the Static categories 'GC' and 'RI' (both of which are tapestries and rugs) as subcategories in a 1SK folder? As it stands they're fairly hidden and I worry modders will not use their contents.

Something like meshes/clutter/1SK (and just dump all the nifs in there, forget the GC and RI subfolders) would be good I think.

So it would look like data/meshes/clutter/1SK/skyrimtapestry1.nif for example.

Also, stuff that was missed from the last master:

Richard's tapestries: Richard is making tapestries...
Richard's basement pieces My retextured basement pieces
Richard's stairs and doors Richard is retexturing some doors
And lastly, anything that we're going to use in here Discussion of Exterior Mod Resources such as WhiteWizard's tapestries

Yes, I'll do that. Although I will probably put them in subfolders of /clutter/1SK to keep them nice and organized. If anyone wants anything else moved, please say so.

Everything else looks pretty tidy. Would you be able to liase with me before releasing the next master just to double check everything? I'm a paranoid bastard so I'm good at spotting ommissions lol (also, I edited my last post to add a list of missing stuff)

Also, I have a few retextures I'd like to do and have included that I haven't completed yet but they'll be done soon

Since I really haven't done anything for the project in a year or something ridiculous, I figured it was time I got off my ass and made myself useful.

Enclosed are 6 Norwegian Spruce Tree variants. The textures and billboards are lousy placeholders however (I can't texture to save my life), so you'll need to find someone who can texture to make you some worthwile ones. Once that's done just overwrite the old textures with the new ones.

OMG new trees! yay! Rocking Banana Rocking Banana Rocking Banana

I'll see what I can do about the billboards, although my texturing skills aren't brilliant. I think Razorwing wrote a tutorial on it somewhere.

Glad they'll be of use. I'm currently tampering around with making trees similar to these pines. I've got a preset done in speedtree that should function fine for what I want, though I may want to revise it some more. If you could track down Psychotic and get him to whip up some need textures that could work for the trees in that pick, I would appreciate it.

On the subject of the spruces, I also gave permission to UL to use them for their Boreal Forest-- I'm not sure it will RELZ ever, so I figured it couldn't hurt, plus they asked me for spruces originally. I think the spruces could maybe to with some more variety, so if you'd like other variants made like some baby trees, or more foresty/canopy type variations all I have to do is tick a couple of things in speedtree and press the compute button. And a side thought: they would probably look great snow covered.

Actually if you just get me a picture of what you want and some textures it will be pretty easy for me to whip up whatever you want.
