Since the old jobs checklist is hugely out of date, and since all the jobs on it are A) done, or B) irrelevant, that doesn't leave much for anyone to do on the checklist. So it has been decided that there will be a new priority jobs checklist, and unlike the old checklist it will consist solely of small bite-size jobs* that could be done in an afternoon or maybe a week. In other words nothing so huge you are going to have to sell your soul to complete it (e.g an entire architecture set).

* I don't like using the word job, but according to the internet the word job really only has one synonym (that is relevant in this context); work. Unfortunately both have negative connotations of well... doing work, I guess. It's a shame there aren't any succinct words for a job that is both fun, engaging and altogether unlike most work I have ever done. Suggestions for such a word that I can use to advertise these wonderful jobs would be welcome. I suppose I could call them subcontracts, but that's Legalese, not English. Anyway... maybe the above paragraph made you realize that these are supposed to be small, fun jobs, not boring work. Moving swiftly on...

The jobs are broken down into modeling and texturing jobs, as well as CS jobs and some concept artistry as well, so there should be something.

Concept art

Flowers and cut-up flowers. It would perhaps surprise you that despite the multi million world floral industry and the rise of genetic engineering, that nobody wants to design flowers. However you look at the situation though one thing is clear: Skyrim needs some custom plants both for decorating the landscape and decorating pestles and mortars. We do have a alchemical ingredient thread containing details of all sorts of ingredients, but there aren't really that many plants listed. While I mention flowers it should be clear that non-angiosperm plants and mushrooms are welcome as well.

Modeling

Plants; see the similar job in the concept art section. We don't just want pictures, we also want models that can be used in game. Each plant should also have a corresponding alchemical ingredient.

Rune Stones: Think big monolithic pointy stones covered in fancy runes like the ones in Bloodmoon. We use Elder Futhark for nordic writing in Skyrim, but all runic fonts look the same anyway. Glow maps are a nice bonus.

CS Stuff

Caves: We need dungeons to populate our landscape. Dungeons should be complete with pathgrids except for two things. No enemies, and don't link them to the exterior world. Obviously if you theme your dungeon around a specific type of baddie, say so, so we can put the right enemies in there when the time comes. We just don't have leveled lists for Skyrim (yet).

Leveled lists: If anyone wants to make new leveled lists for Skyrim, feel free. Remember Skyrim is aimed at mid level players, so leveled lists should be between level 10 for easy stuff and level 40 for nastier enemies. Skyrim will mostly be statically leveled, so enemies shouldn't scale with the player for more than a few levels. Obviously if you want to create enemies for Skyrim, create a thread to discuss your ideas etcetera.

Pagran Villiage Interiors: More on this coming soon.

Other

Think of some cool misc quest ideas for the area around Pagran Villiage and Vernim wood.

--------------------------------------

Hopefully this list will remain relatively up do date. Anything that gets claimed will be marked with a. Check

I created 3 Nord Barrows the other day to help things along.

One is full of undead, another is an Udrefrykte layer, and the last has been turned into a base by a group of bandits.

In the bandit tomb I set up some content for a quest, there is a small cage where two Nord girls are being held. Tracking them down and rescuing could make a short, easily scripted quest for players.

Hey all, yeah I'm a jerk that only posts once a year and doesn't work on much.

I've been looking for something to model/texture in my free time without starting a huge project of my own but have found myself just messing around for a little and then scrapping it.

So here I am again Cool , hoping to help you out. Last time I was thrown a lot of stuff, and don't think I'll be able to help out with anything huge. Let's start small and see where that goes.

I've been coming here looking at the new posts (secretly as much as a regular) so I know how much everyone's continued to work on this, and I think it's looking and will continue to be great.

So down to the good stuff...

You've got posted plants and rune stones for modeling. But I've never played Bloodmoon so I have no idea what they look like. If someone could get screens, that'd be cool. Or if you guys have something else 'small-ish' that needs to be modeled/textured, post it up.

And oh yeah, afraid I won't be able to do the whole export process and getting into the game. It's been over a year since I've even played Oblivion and I'm sure the process has changed dramatically. And that always bored more anyway. So if someone wouldn't mind taking my file, setting it up, and exporting it to the game, then I'd be happy to lend my hand once again. :)

(this seemed like the best place to post, but I can move it if you want to keep this topic cleaned)

Welcome back :)

This thread has some flowers that we could use modeled. I uploaded a pack of screens to filefront of Bloodmoon rocks for Quokimbo (our new modeler) a little while ago. He's busy with weapons right now though, so if you want to do rocks instead of flora your can download some screens here .

For your stuff could you start a new thread in the Visual Development Boards called "cow's models" or something to that effect. That way your work is all organized together in one place.

For the stone set, did you want all of the stones remade that were in the or just the runestones (and the dark snow ones since I already did those)? There seem to have been tombs and what not as well.

We needed runestones and then just some new stones similar to the ones that had pictures of them posted, what you have complete now should be enough; there was a screen of an archway rock in there as well if you could do something similar to that, we should have all the rocks we need.

The tombs were in there because at the time I took the screens I didn't think we had any tomb entrances created, as it so happens I was mistaken and Alasdair had created one. More would always be nice, but they're lower priority than something like plants or new items now.
