High Rock and Skyrim HM Interface |
|
Hi folks.
Anyone who has been poking around in the "High Rock Archived" thread
will see that I have taken up working on the HM for that province. Back
when HR was an active BC project, there was the issue of getting Skyrim
and High Rock to match each other in terms of where their mountain
ranges joined.
With an eye to that, I wanted to inquire about the size in quads of
that portion of your height map. (Since my work is available to BC
modders, it might as well be something useful to them!)
I hope that this inquiry is not an imposition. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Actually we've ended up revising our project and scaling ourselves back
to just the eastern part of Skyrim along the Morrowind border,
specifically the holds of Eastmarch and the Rift.
This thread has the details.
Since we're not currently planning on modding anything along the border
of High Rock, I imagine that you can go ahead and make your mountains
look however you would like, since player will never be able to reach
the border while playing Skyrim. That's just me talking unofficially
though, wait for Alasdair for the final say on it. |

Thank you Siegfried.
That certainly gives me creative license. I guess I'm lucky that, in
terms of actual physical territory, High Rock takes up far less real
estate then Skyrim does. I can understand your team's decision on this
one - a daunting task to do a province that large!
Much obliged for the reply.
(Oh and to all of you - keep modding! I know it is a gigantic task, but
it is a worthwhile one. There is no other fantasy game this detailed.
Creating a mod for Oblivion is truly a mark of something special.)
