Book Post Elven Artifacts part I Reply to this Post Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Posts Report Post to a Moderator        Go to the top of this page

I am going to make a small book with elven artifacts here is one:

The Flask of Lillaedril
The Flask of Lillaedril, a magical flask discovered during the 1st Era of Tamriel c. 1E470 by a group of elves living in Lillandril, a port city on the Northern shore of Summerset Isle. Upon learing that the flask had the marvelous property of being able to absorb magic of any persussion, founders realized their importance in the world and spread word of the discovery. They performed various favors for the Barons of Summerset Isle, keeping the magical powers of the Wood Elves of Valenwood in check.

Evetually the founders, worried that Wood Elf assassins may kill them and take the flask, left Summerset Isle for the City of Daggerfall, in High Rock, where they hoped to buy their safety from the Clan Direnni, to live in secret, protected by the Direnni.
While sailing from Summerset to High Rock they were shipwreced on the coral reef along the southern coast of what is now Stros M'kai. The founders were killed and the Flask of Lillandril Lost.
Stories of the the flask have appeared over the ages, but it is still belived by many that it is lost somewhere on the island of Stros M'kai.

References linking the island to the flask occur in manuscript fragments of unknown but ancient originheld in the private library of Kmtic Dexian of Sentinel. One piece, the Lagan Text, has symbols (reproduced above) which chould be interproted as map references. This has led to the theory that the location of the flask was known at some time after the founders demise.

Editors Note: At the end of the Second Era, Cyrus the Redguard recovered the flask and used it to release his sister Iszara from N'Gasta the Sload Necromancer and Daedra Prince Clavicus Vile. In the end, Clavicus Vile took the flask.

Hmm... N'gasta was a sload, wasn't he? He reminded me a bit of the Ascended sleepers... Are they sloads too? I don't really know, but I'd expect that N'Gasta may have had some influence on Necromancy in the Summerset Isles or something...

Yes

N'gasta is/was a Sload and a necromancer, the Sload also followed Mannimarco so I would think that some of that influence would have found its way to summerset

I dont know if their is a relationship between the Sload and Sleepers

There is no relationship with the sload and the sleepers.

The sleepers have nothing to do with undead, they are mutants changed by dagoth ur.

The Sload are a big horrible slimey race, you appear as very large over wieght slugs. They are the ones who brought necromancy to Tamriel, and I'm pretty sure they invented/harnessed it in the first place.
