Naw, it's not gonna look anything like Hircine's Realm. I'm pretty sure
that is supposed to be a pine forest like you'd find up north, filled
with wild animals.
Here is how Mehrunes' realm was described in our favorite book The Doors of Oblivion. It is stated in the book as a confusion for another realm, but he described Mehrunes' realm in confusion.
'I am in a storm,' he told me as he entered the next realm. He
described the landscape of dark twisted trees, howling spirits, and
billowing mist, and I thought he might have entered the Deadlands of
Mehrunes Dagon."

That's a nightmare of V's realm.
If we do, do his realm, I suggest we actually make it on the mainland
(with an inviso barrier to stop the player going to far, and put it in
a valley, so we don't have to detail that much).
I mean, we could do something like "twisted forests", but we'd need to
make the trees burnt and charred, or do something even more oringinal,
and have something like have fire for leaves
(the branches being twisted, with thorns, similar to the Daedric "claw" type things that are already present in his realm).

Waht about flames on the tops of trees? And I suggest to use little
fire stuff in the forest. AS I read it his realm is a twisted forest
surrounden by smaller plains of fire.

I know that was a nightmare, but the person writing the book confused
it for Mehrunes' realm until the scene changed. The trees I think we
can manage if we can get someone here with a working copy of SpeedTree,
but the fire for leaves is impossible unless we manually stick fire on
them in the CS
I dunno, I read several things that describe Mehrunes' realm as supposed to be a dark, twisted forest.

This is the only time I've read it being "A dark twisted forest", and
then it wasn't even Dagon's realm. Please post these other sources you
have, because I've never even heard of them before.

It's more actually like forum posts. If it was only one person who said
it, I wouldn't beleive it. But I've seen a few posts here and there
describing the twisted forests of Dagon, from people who look like they
know what they're talking about. Mormacil may have a better idea than I
do of a lorical reference.

His qoute is from a book from Oblivion that about a student writing how
his master travelled to the realms of Oblivion for research and gets
stuck in the library of Herma Mora.

Thanks Mormacil
I knew it was true, I've heard it many many times before, mostly in
complaints about how his plane of Oblivion ended up in a similar
situation to the absence of jungle in Cyrodiil.

But the jungle is removed I believe by one of the emperors as a reward for his man

Yeah, Talos the Many-Headed. But I always find it in a comment like
"Why isn't Cyrodiil a jungle, and why isn't Dagon's plane a forest? You
suck Beth!"
