Hi!
There
doesn't
seem
to
have
been
anyone
around
here
recently.
Is
anybody
out
there?
.........Hello?

Sad.
It's
a
vicious
circle.
Still,
we
carry
on
I
suppose...
Once
(if?
)
BC
starts
making
some
releases,
we
might
get
more
of
a
buzz
going
again....

Maybe
when
Silgrad
Tower
gets
released
and
people
flock
to
the
forums.
I
atm
are
going
through
a
tough
break-up
and
still
picking
myself
together
really
adn
yeah
school
started,
Spore's
released,
got
a
new
PC
that
finally
can
play
UT3,
Crysis,
Bioshock,
Mass
Effect
etc...
I'm
not
leaving
but
I
burned
up
a
lot
of
my
energy
in
FLESH
his
absence
and
I
just
can't
find
a
moment
to
recharge...

I
would
be
happy
to
playtest
-
once
I
can
get
the
islands
working
on
my
copy
of
Oblivion.
It
appears
to
have
indigestion
at
the
moment
-
I
must
have
installed
too
many
mods!

I
think
the
best
thing
for
this
project
would
be
a
release
of
the
abacean
isles.
That
should
attract
at
least
some
new
faces.

Unfortunately
it
does.
I
checked,
and
apart
from
this

there's
been
five
threads
here
posted
to
since
September

it

then
there's

FLESH
left

back

and
Durdain
left
on
August

But
Mormacil,
Ja-Kha'jay

are
still
here
on
the

and
last

recently.
Three
of
the

are
still
here
on
the

so
why
has
Valenwood
fallen
silent?

I
got
3
causes
for
not
modding
1)
failed
to
get
in
my
next
year
2)
rough
relationship
3)
brought
myself
to
the
brink
of
a
burnout,
again...
JKJ
was
only
helping
out,
not
really
leading
to
my
knowledge,
Windsurfer
is
making
silent
progress
but
his
notebook
broke
down
while
he
was
teaching
surfing
in
Greece.
It
was
Greece
now
right?
All
I've
done
is
concept
art
and
well
keeping
it
alive
while
FLESH
was
away.
Not
moving
it
really
forward
but
just
keeping
it
alive.
With
FLESH
now
really
permanently
gone
I
say
we
give
Windsurfers
work
a
try
to
attract
more
modders
or
look
for
another
direction
for
VW.
A
more
permanent
one...

Last
time
I
was
in
touch
with
Windsurfer,
he
said
his
work
on
the
Islands
is
almost
finished.
Sadly
though,
it
seems
that
work
on
the
mainland
has
halted,
despite
Mormacil's
tireless
contributions
of
concept
art.
It's
a
real
shame
that
Giskard's
offer
to
work
on
this
project
fell
through,
since
then
we'd
have
had
Arenthia
and
its
surrounds
as
well.

Good
idea.
A
very
good
idea.
I
also
think
that
we
should
archive
all
the
dead
development
threads,
and
replace
them
with
a
series
of
summaries
of
what
was
decided.
Start
with
a
clean
slate,
so
to
speak.

Don't
despair
guys!
The
Abacaen
Isles
is
still
in
progress
and
will
be
finished
soon.
All
that
was
left
to
do
were
the
NPCs
and
quests,
and
windsurfer
is
working
on
them
right
now.

I'm
still
around
no
worrys,
the
files
are
all
here
and
a
lot
had
progressed
since
the
video.
The
issue
is
the
fact
I've
been
home
for
4
days
since
april.
I
cant
do
quests
on
my
laptop
(the
cs
crashes
when
I
try
and
add
a
topic).
Also
my
oldblivion
version
of
oblivion
has
stopped
working
and
the
disc
is
at
home!
Also
I
dont
have
very
much
free
time
at
the
moment
and
the
fact
I
cant
play
oblivion
in
its
full
glory
doesn't
give
me
much
inspration!!
Dont
fear
though
i'm
still
on
it!!

Yesterday
I
stumbled
upon
this
place
while
running
a
google
search
for
'Elder
Scrolls
Skyrim',
looking
for
any
info
on
the
rumoured
fifth
installment
of
the
series.
I
found
one
of
the
first
results
was
a
link
to
this
forum's
Skyrim
section,
and
from
there
found
a
link
to
this
Valenwood
section.
I
then
started
foaming
at
the
mouth
having
been
presented
with
an
opportunity
to
affect
development
in
this
kind
of
hands-on
situation
Honestly
this
is
an
awesome
undertaking,
and
it's
just
annoying
to
see
that
you
guys
lack
the
manpower
required
here.
I'm
a
concept
artist
myself,
and
although
Valenwood
already
has
a
great
artist
(if
he's
still
around)
I
will
happily
churn
out
the
contents
of
my
imagination
if
it
will
help
this
project
find
its
feet
again.
It's
times
like
this
that
I
wish
I
knew
something
about
3d
modelling
and
texturing...
you
guys
could
really
use
someone
with
those
skills
it
seems.

Can
you
do
quests
in
the
CS?
If
so,
then
you
could
help
us
finish
a
Valenwood
release.
Let
me
explain...
Long
ago,
the
plan
was
to
make
the
offshore
islands
of
Valenwood
first,
then
use
the
publicity
from
that
to
recruit
more
people
for
the
rest
of
the
mainland.
Unfortunately,
we
never
got
that
far,
and
the
project
has
died.
However,
the
Islands
were
actually
finished.
They
just
need
some
quests,
NPCs
etc
adding.
I
have
already
written
a
story
for
the
islands,
it
just
needs
to
be
implemented...
What
do
you
say?

The
Construction
Set?
There's
good
news
and
bad
news
there.
The
good
news:
I
consider
literature
and
storytelling
to
be
one
of
my
skill-sets,
so
I
could
absolutely
design
some
quests.
If
you
can
provide
me
with
some
details
of
the
main
quest
and
overarching
storyline,
or
a
link
to
its
topic
if
one
exists,
then
I
will
happily
start
to
design
some
side
quests.
The
bad
news:
I
have
practically
zero
experience
with
the
CS...
But
I
would
be
more
than
happy
to
start
learning
how
it
works.
I
saved
a
really
useful
in-depth
tutorial
about
the
CS
when
I
first
downloaded
it
about
6
months
ago,
so
I
could
give
it
a
spin.
If
you
know
of
any
resources
that
I
may
find
useful
(great
examples
of
quest
creation
in
the
CS
for
example)
then
that
would
probably
speed
things
up
a
bit
too.
Long
story
short
on
the
CS
front:
I
lack
the
experience
but
have
the
motivation!
You
mentioned
that
the
plan
was
to
release
the
Islands,
and
use
the
feedback
and
interest
generated
to
recruit
for
the
mainland?
Seems
you're
still
on
track
for
that
goal
then
in
my
opinion.
No
reason
this
release
won't
bring
in
more
members
and
give
the
project
a
kick-start
is
there?

This
is
true.
The
project's
leaders
are
all
inactive
at
the
moment
(it's
well
and
truly
dead)
but
I
have
what
I
believe
is
a
complete
copy
of
the
islands.
Unfortunately
I
have
trouble
getting
it
to
work
on
my
computer
at
the
moment.
So
why
don't
you
try
reading
up
on
how
to
make
quests?
I
will
send
you
the
island

Sounds
good
to
me.
I've
been
reading
over
your
lore
section
and
checking
out
the
concept
art
you
have
so
far
as
well.
I'll
see
if
I
can
rustle
up
some
quick
sketches
and
stir
some
life
back
into
this
forum
while
i'm
learning
CS.
And
no
need
to
worry
about
the
leaders.
Either
they
return
(i'm
sure
they
at
least
lurk
on
these
forums
out
of
interest
every
now
and
again)
or
new
leaders
will
naturally
take
their
place.
All
we
need
is
to
generate
some
interest
and
spark
some
enthusiasm!
I'm
willing
to
give
it
a
shot

I

seen
one
active
latley

and
thats
Lady

But
I

I
agree
with
Lady
Nerevar.
At
the
moment
I
am
too
busy
to
reboot
this
project
myself,
but
the
islands
are
so
close
to
being
finished
it
would
be
criminal
not
to
complete
them.
And
as
for
the
rest,
even
if
nothing
more
is
done,
at
least
then
we
would
still
have
the
sense
of
achievement
at
producing
a
high-quality
(if
small)
island
mod.
By
all
means
post
your
concept
art
though
-
at
the
very
least
we
could
use
it
to
make
a
cool
fully
illustrated
book
about
Valenwood.

All
right.
Here
is
an
archive
containing
all
the
files
for
the
islands,
as
well
as
a
plan
for
the
quests
for
the
islands:
http://files.filefront.com/Valenwood+Isl...;/fileinfo.html
A
few
things
need
to
be
done:
(I
am
too
busy
to
do
it
myself,
so
I
need
volunteers)
1.
Check
that
all
the
buildings
on
the
islands
have
interiors,
there
are
enough
leveled
new
enemies,
and
generally
that
there
are
no
holes
in
the
landscape
or
floating
trees
etc.
2.
Add
in
the
quests,
with
the
NPCs
and
locations
required
for
them.
3.
Playtest
through
the
quests,
then
release!

I
can
offer
sometime
to
play
test
the
mod,
just
give
me
a
list
of
specifics
you
want
checked
out
along
with
the
rest
of
the
land,
ie
make
sure
the
quests
work
Also,
if
no
one
is
going
to
re-boot
the
mod
as
least
this
small
island
is
getting
released,
it
shows
some
form
of
achievement,
its
not
the
overall
goal
of
creating
VW
but
its
a
small
quality
part
of
VW,
and
I
think
its
better
than
completing
nothing.
