not applying for leadership....
but I think a leader should know that he.she should be able to spend
time and effort... at least in getting the mod on its feet and able to
run on its own for a little while...
since the beginning of Vvardenfell I have grown much busier and less
often do I frequent the forums to post major stuff... but the beginning
stage needs to be met... like an entrepreneur must have enough capital
to make it good 1st |

In the meantime I hope that interested modders will continue posting
their ideas and concepts in the Valenwood Forum...the more content
therer is (and the higher the quality) the better chance there is of
attracting a competant and reliable Project Leader.

I think a link may require a greater effort then oyu realize ID, while
it would be awsome, I think we can manage withut it, especialy
onsidering the state of valenwood.

how about the Elsewyr and Valenwood mods combine?
what if they combine but the factions and mainquests are for each team
to decide, however there can be a large main-quest involving both
provinces? what if they can be collectively nown as the TES4
Elsewyr-Valenwood mod, however their seperate departments are Valenwood
Rise of the Precursor and The Elsewyr Confederacy? |

Right now that could be a bit risky because Valenwood doesn't really
have a team, and Eleswyr is still building up steam. It could end up
that there is only one teams worth of people working on two team's
worth of work. |

that is what I am definitely afraid of with respects with this mod...
Elsewyr is building itself up while Valenwod fell down...
it's like a sprinter who is building up speed stopping to pick up a fallen runner...
tough crowd...

I think that should the valenwood mod revive itself, we have a seperate
worldspace that is common ground between the two, keeping em seperate
while allowing joint efforts.

Agreed, I don't want us to have to carry two mods, which is the diirection I see this going.

Has anyone tried getting in touch with any of the old team members? Or
maybe set up some kind of a thread on the official forums? |

I asked the creator of the "Big Projects List" on the Official Forums
to put Valenwood under his watch section with an advertisement that it
is looking for a leader, so that might get someone's attention. |

Great work, Siegfried!
This might attract a leader to Valenwood at last!

A single post could easily disappear in such a long thread. Might be
useful if you can get him to post Valenwood as a project, with
something like this:
quote: |
Valenwood, Rise of the Precursor
is a major mod initially planned to link specifically with or
complement the Elseweyr Confederacy and to be compatible with the other
Beyond Cyrodiil mods of course. Initial thinking was that there would
be a 'live common border' between the two projects so that small wars
and skirmishes between these two 'Ancient rivals'.
Like all Beyond Oblivion mods Valenwood has a Main Quest in planning,
and room for hosts of minor quests solo or related to the doings of the
Joinable Guilds, great cities and tiny forest communities, all that you
might hope to find in a TES game that could be as big as Oblivion
itself. You have heard rumours of the fate of the Moving City - now you
have the chance to mod a moving Tree big enough to house the capital of
the Wood Elves and decide how it will thrive or be destroyed. (Subject
to the Lore natch!
)
But right now what Valenwood most needs is a Project Leader. Someone
who can start with the simple basics and can put in long hours, and who
will stick with it and actively recruit and work alongside everyone who
wants to take part. If you have the essential idea of simple skills and
the sheer determination to do it, then you will know if this can be
you! This post would only be offered to people called Todd Howard if
they are free of contractual obligations that would otherwise interfere
with the job!

I love cities in trees. Infact even more than shady murky places (lets
establish something, I really really really really love shady murky
places). I think I would have the hours, BUT, I cannot moddel or
texture or anything like that. I most definately would not be able to
do this by myself. If someone is willing to help me out. Then I might
do it, but after I get some claims done.
If you dont think I can do it I fully understand, the hours would be
put in, but as I mentioned before, I don't have the skills needed in
moddeling.
I don't want to see this die.

I think you would do a fine job, you don't need to tackle the entire
thing by yourself, and if you want to learn to model, go ahead and do
it. I think you are the first person to show interest in doing this,
and if I had a say I'd give it to you. PM razorwing, and a question if
you don't mind, why always so negative here? You re just as qualified
to work with us as anyone.

I could help you get this started, until you get a relyable team
together, that way it would help the Elsweyr mod out too. Don't worry
about not being able to model or texture; those do not affect
leadership skills, and a leader is what this mod needs most.
I'd be able to help maybe with some lore and other random stuff (maybe
textures, maybe modelling, maybe other misc stuff, etc...) to help get
this off the ground. I won't have as much free time until Saturday...
as I'm at a university right now (look at my location under where my
would-be avatar is.)

Yeah, modeling and texturing is no big deal at all. I can't model or
texture, and same goes for Kukulza, but both of us lead our mod
projects. Being a leader means that your are hardworking, responsible,
organized, and able to motivate people. |

And as for leaving you all alone, the odds of that happening are quite
slim on this website. All the same, I will do what I can to help.

I seem to have signed up for just about every mod, including this one,
so whatever I see that I can contribute to here I will. If I could
contribute more computer time (and had a comp that could cope with
Oblivion) I could do more. As it is my speciality remains the
written/typed word, and I will stick by you here as long as you keep
faith with everyone (including yourself) and this mod.
It is a big job, so if you don't end up with the prize this time, do
not worry as all the Beyond Cyrodiil/Silgrad Tower Associated Mods are
huge, and need quality input, so any sensible project leader will be
only too glad to have the services of competant people. These are not
solo projects.

Ok guys while I was sleeping I came up with some Ideas. Since I can't
draw a straight line for the life of me, I will try to find some
pictures that best describe what I saw. I already know some sites that
should have them so will come back when I found some.
