Suggestion to getting around Valenwood |
|
Give the player and/or npcs the ability to make rope bridges to easily
cross tree tops for easier traveling since Valenwood trees are huge
right? |

How about laying a long wooden board between trees

Since we'll be disabling Fast Travel, what about boats. You got small
ports in any settlement along the river. Travelling will be teleporting
like Silt Striders. The further you go the more gold and time it costs.
Another one isn't really for Valenwood, but for other provinces. A
carriage. A carriage will follow one big road, making stops at every
inn. Again the loger the more costs in time and money. Another thing is
that you could get robbed. Random you'll be attacked by bandits. So
instead of spawning at your destination, you spawn somewhere random
along the road, with the carriage and the other passengers. AFter you
killed the bandits you can loot them and activate the carriage to
continue the ride.

Boats are a yes due to the huge amount of ports in Valenwood. The
caravan idea is used in a Dance in the Fire but it never goes into the
forest, so the caravnas only work outside the forest. I like the the
attack idea to be introduced to it aswell ( also with boats maybe? ). I
was hoping to have boats and more primitive Imga for the larger cities
aswell.

Sounds good, Boats for open seas and rivers, attacked by pirates, 30%
chance? Carage towards the north, towards Cyrodiil. Same thing with
attack percentages. Then giant birds for flying from huge city to huge
city. But Mages' Guild Guides would be acceptable for unacceable places
below the canaopy, that Giant Birds, Boats, or carrage could get to.
They just use magicks to teleport you to a marked location... for a
price.

Great, but carriage just seems out of place, even at places that border
with Cyrodiil it would be impractical. And I doubt they'd actually
maintain only a handfull of carriages.
For a price.... wow, that brings memories.

We had a poll and that was the conlusion we came too. It's caravan, not carage, too posh to have in Valenwood

Why don't you say so? I imagined it as some kind of high-class carriage.
My mistake

Since we disable Fasttravel what about landmarkers and compas? Here is my idea:
Leave the landmarkers on the worldmap, but delete them from the
compass. We also need to leave the questmarker on the worldmap only
Let the people search, so bring back those caves with artefacts(Ring of Phynaster)!

Yes, now the compass will be used properly
We leave the markers of cities and major landmarks on the map.

I really think we need to revamp levelling as well(creature and
lootwise) So lets add area's with creatures taht are dangerous below
lvl 10, let's add static loot(artefacts) and good loot in castles.

All in good time. We know what needs to be done now though.
