Well I have recieved a good offer from the Grey Wizard of the LOTR mod.
They have already set up alliances with skyrim for meshes. And would
like to do the same with us.
They have some nice buildings that could use (Lothlerain (sp, sorry)).
And they have agreed to share them with us. I would also like to see
what the core thinks about this. I think it is a great opportunity

Well, what they might have that we can use... is probably some stuff
here and there, armour, bows, elven stuff... Big trees
... And we let them use our meshes... The good thing would be we get
some new meshes, but the uniqueness of them is no longer going to apply
to either side. So what we lose is what we gain here... What do other
people think? Maybe some nice retextured Rivendell pieces would look
nice for some mystical meadow?

Grey Wizard told me that he is making some architecture for (I forget
the name of the city) and he thinks it would fit well with the Bosmer.
Wait and see I guess but I have high hopes.

Can you fish out the name of the city?

They are not completely ripping it from LOTR. So we should be fine. We
are not linked, we are just sharing resources that may be usefull to
either side, as are Skyrim and Elsweyr.

Elsweyr wasn't sharing, were they (we)?

We have an exchange basis. If they giv eus us something we want, we
give them something they want, this keeps our resources internal, but
allows for some sharing. I will not, under any circumstances, let
someone else have our scimitars, I like them, hehe.

Okay, I voted, I'm the one who voted no if you couldn't tell for any
weird reason, but it is a core decision, so I will abide by what we
decide as a whole.
I think it would be better to directly ask the one who originally modelled or textured whatever if it can be used, though...

But really, when you think about it, the LotR mod doesn't really have
the permission of the one who modelled the objects in the first place,
we do. I think it would be best to directly ask the people who made the
objects, as the objects are theirs, not ours.

The objects are not direct copies, and no one is going to EA. They wont
be our main models, just to get us started on GreenHeart, plus they are
making some Valenwood buildings for GreenHeart.

Well, OK, but be careful - what we really need at this point is to
ensure that we keep increasing the usable, but in a truly Lore-inspired
way - we don't want to get lost in the woods of contradiction just
because something exciting turns up... LOTR is exciting, but it is not
Valenwood and I would expect that there are aspects to their design
that will forever remain unusable with ES.
Still can't vote 'till I see what they have to offer!

And there's the uniqueness aspect of it too...
