if anyone has ideas for people of the vallen wood region they can be posted here.

well, I had an idea, someone is going to have to think up a new style of bandits, they will most likely be ranged bosmers that are a lot more sneaky, and have more of an ambush attack style.

I think there are plans to make them jump off trees. It's mentioned in Lore somewhere I think.

I can see ranged Bosmer bandits being a reasonably common wilderness enemy. I installed OOO recently and when travelling to Bravil was set upon by quite a few ranged bandits, was very exciting: arrows flying at me from the forests either side of the road. I'd love to see a similar (if not slightly more lethal) version of that in Valenwood.

Best thing about it would be their stealth, I stuggled to find these bandits but if the elves had a slight chameleon affect that would be even more fun. Would certainly add to the ambush feel anyway.

-Khajiit bandits/nationalist that cut trees?
-Order that protects the oldest trees in the core of Valenwood? Sort of religues order.
-At the border we should have East Empire Company, or South Empire Company Tongue . Well they should regulate the import of timber into Valenwood. Seems big buisness to me.
-savage wood elfs that attacks players, foreigners on sight.

This are elfs like Tolkien/Warcraft. Wood Elfs aren't like that, they're small, weak and sneaky...

I'm thinking of Khajiit raiders jumping from trees (done with collision boxes and spawn points).

Raiders are going be in this mod. It's part of Valenwood.

Hi there, a further thought inspired by my advert on ESF for a video artist:
quote:
... snip ...

... there is always room for more in such a vast mod. Plus I have a feeling that given the nature of the relationship between Bosmer elves and their ladies, those lads are absolutely desperate to impress any way they can (think about Fargoth's prices!) and that will likely translate into an ever-revolving stream of new innovation = huge varieties of design and presentation... = more concept needed and varieties of models to match! As far as I am concerned, everywhere you travel in the trackless forest should bring something new or unique! - polly counts forgive! Wink

The thought that comes from this is that Bosmer society is both 'whole' and diverse... Thinking that although there seems to be a general and accepted reverence for whoever is considered to be the leader and their religion, exceptions noted, in another way it feels like the usual Bosmeri modus operandi is to form small and loose associations, in an ever changing chaotic scramble to impress and socialise.

There are likely to be 'sacred institutions' such as the local tavern - read Dance in the Fire that operate as focii but resistance to forming large 'clans' or formal organisations generally - hence the size of the Vallenwood Fighters Guild - because such intense competition and the 'communal' property philosophy naturally generates a lot of opportunistic banditry... take a look at the Sun's Dusk theft by the Imga - those Bosmer who have 'businesses' that are necessarily static are very busy fending off the depredations of others - and the attitude of the Imga reflects this admirably, as does the ungenerous stance of the owner... more later?
