Download Changed to v3

I've been working irregularly over the last month or so on converting Brillo's assets from "N'Dib's Twilight" to Oblivion format for FLESH. Version 1 is ready, containing the first 36 models (out of a total of 167). It's timeconsuming because it's not possible to import the collision meshes at this point in time, so I have to redo them for each model, which doesn't just take time but also feels pointless since Brillo already did the work and did it perfectly - I just can't access it. However the dialogue window of the importer plugin leads me to believe it will be possible to import collision in the near future, since the option is there but greyed out, so I'll most likely hold off making the more complicated collision meshes like the one that would be required for the ship.

Anyway, please try them out and let me know how they work. :)

I should probably emphasize that I'm converting the models Brillo made, I'm not going to try and improve them.

I dont get what he's saying??? does brillo not show up anymore, so he has to redo the collisions? I think thats what he's saying, just not sure...

No, he's saying there is no way to import collision from Morrowind into Oblivion yet. But there should be in the near future so he will put off converting the rest until then.

Just checked th elink and got through to a site that offered a download, suggest you try the link again or is it the download that did not work for you?

Works fine for me? When the link is clicked you're supposed to get a page that counts down to zero, and when it hits zero you can start the download. I'll try to get the next version onto FileFront instead. FF was down when I uploaded this version.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the meshes "ndib_flora_lampfungus_1" and "ndib_flora_lampfungus_1_x"? They seem identical to me, but there wouldn't have been two meshes if there wasn't a reason.

Download version 2 Changed to v3

Darn FileFront... the upload system is down again, so I had to rely on Mysharefile.com for this release too. I've added a bunch more nifs in version 2, totalling about 50% of the original assets. Note that I've moved the flora textures into a subfolder, and added a few more textures that I previously didn't know what to do with. Turns out they were glow maps.

You'll probably want to find someone to do normal maps for these textures at some point.

Oh, ok. I did work a bit on those two models, actually :) Just a quick subdivide, meshsmooth and remapping. Took a couple minutes on each, so it wasn't anything major, which is why I felt like doing it.

Thanks so much for these resources Razorwing.

FLESH I will upload another update here soon with Improved/Normalled textures. Although it will only be for the ones I've used (almost all apart from colour variations).

If I have spare time I will do it for the whole set.

Great, much appreciated WindSurfer. Just out of interest, can you do you UV maps? We have a lot of models that need textures, that would add a lot to our resources.

I learn't all I know from Oblivion, I have never modelled or textured efore this game. I learn't the very basics (editing trucks on the trees, creating ingredient meshes) but I have never really got any good at uv mapping or moddeling.I can uv basic shapes but nothing complex at all.

Thats one of the only things I cant really do. I also learn't to rig
but only for fish which dont have that many bones.

Sorry i'm not the one to help you there, you really need to get some textures/uv'ers. Make a specific thread for textures at the ESF, there are a lot of them but few (like me) can uv as well.

Not a problem I havn't done many completly new textures yet but have normalled, scaled up and make some seamless (leather). Ill upload them soon but i'm still inproving them when I test ingame and dont like what I see.

Also could you plz give me the link to the original set just to make sure there is nothing else of value for me. Everytime I find a link its too the same site which has closed down.
