Hello Everyone,
King Evil has made an aplication to be part of the core, as Exterior moderator.
Here is his post:
quote: |
I would like to join the core, and become core meber of exterior
claims. This sounds like a great project to me and I am very
enthousiastic about it. I believe I have plenty of experience with the
CS, and particularly with exterior modding, to lead this part of the
project. I am willing to make plenty of my time free for the project. I
wish everybody the best of luck with it.
|
My personal opinion is that KingEvil is very talented with exterior
making, and seems dedicated. I think he would make a great addition to
our core.
Please state your opinions.

Raggidman has a real good point there. I think we should know him
better, didn't he join like 5 days ago? Making him core is indeed a bit
quick.

I agree, let's give him some sort of responasbility, like a village or
a city and see how he handles himself. Then we can make our decision.
Great thinking everyone
Only question from me is, what city/village do we give him?

I have made a decision, I will make him in change of the 3 islands. Anyone have any objections/opinions?

I am sure he has potential because he really wants in, just want to
find out what kind of potential he has Mormacil. And the three islands
sounds like a plum job. Getting that done well will be a real feather
in his cap as we are in such an early stage and there are so many
models that we need to get done before we can really give people a
taste of Valenwood.
I like his rainforest tree - needs a lot of work, but it is a strong initiative and very to the point.

Sounds like you know what you're doing, I think it is a good idea what
you decided. Why he was rejected by DA for core position I don't know,
but I have to admit, he has been around for a while...
About Southpoint... I believe the modding would start after more models
became available that would suit its needs, but I think some stuff has
already been done, while the more urgent models are sort of in
suspension?
About my access to the core board here, no one minds do they?

Well you are a part of the core, and I don't want that to change
Walrus has started modding the exterior for it. The new house models
will hopefully soon be done by Azkur, then textured by Pheonixamon (for
she has agreed to do textures for us).

Late bump.
Perhaps the "Core" thread should also be updated?

I realize some people have already applied. But please apply here
again, this is more official. Also in your application, state what you
are good at and which position you would like to apply for. Not
everybody has to have a position. For example you could do a bit of
both.
Here are the current open positions:
Head Moddeler:
This is a very important postion for the moment. Your responsability
will be to make various moddels and judge the quality of others. This
is pretty much the backbone of our mod. Without new modelles we cannot
properly express what our mod will contain. Without new modells I fear
that Valenwood will be as dull as watching grass grow. You will be
moderator of the Visual Dev. thread.
Head of PR:
This is also a very important job. I have been filling in for a while.
You will be responsible for advertising our mod. Bringing new members
in. It is not exactly an easy job (But atleast you can play Pete). It
is extremely important that we get some new members for our mod. You
will need to be able to fill these criteria: Friendly, Well Spoken,
Knowledgeable. You will advertise our mod on all of the well of the
well-known websites (Besides ESF, that will be my job) including some
less known ones.
Lead Conept artisit (Taken by Mormacil):
We may not have much concept yet (or any), but your job will be to make
inspiration for our modellers, and to help other concept artist. Not
only will you inspire our modellers but also many other people. You
must have a good hand at drawing. You will be moderator of the
Valenwood Concept art board.
Manager of the Valenwood Resource Master File (Taken by TheImperialDragon):
This is an extremely important job. I have no idea of how to do this
unfortunately. Your jon will be to bring in any new content to our mod
created by a 3rd party group and seting it up so that it functions
properly in-game. This means you will be managing loot tables, bringing
the unique creatures and items that we create for Valenwood, and
keeping everything balanced.
Exterior Modderator
This is a reviewer position. This person is responsible for making sure
that each exterior claim is the made to full potential. This person
will help out any member that needs advice with their claim. Must have
a good eye for detail and good knowledge of the CS (Construction Set)
is required.
Interior Moderator
This is a reviewer position. This person is responsible for making sure
that there are no errors or bugs in all the interiors made, and that
they are made to the best of their potential. Must have a good eye for
detail and good knowledge of the CS (Construction Set) is required.
Note: Sandor is currently reviewing interiors for the city of Arenthia.
Warder of TES3 Comunity Models (taken by DarkAsmodeus):
There are many resource packs out there for TES3, some of them are real
wonders. It will be your job to find these, edit them, and migrate
these models into Oblivion .nifs useable in our mod. (keep an eye out
for TES 4 models aswell).
Head of Literature Developement(taken by Raggidman, but subject to change):
You will be responsable for reviewing the various literature that comes
into our mod. Aswell as making some. You will be moderator of the Lit.
Dev thread. To take this position you must have a passion for stories
and a talent at writing them.
Thank you Sigfried as I used your thread for inspiration (and probably borrowed some words too
)
Note: You don't have to take one of those positions to be part
of the core. The number I will be allowing in for now is limited as we
do not have many members yet.

I think I get your drift, sadly as you all have probably noticed I
haven't been around much due to problems at home (that mightn't have
been so noticeable) and I have been really straped for time. I'm just
lucky I am able to do things over the week-end. Great start for the New
Year

Thats taken care of, hope I wasn't too harsh, I tried to be formal, I've seen how rejection letters look like for jobs
(not for me, yet anyway
). I'm glad I can count on the core to fill in for me, I am basicly
having almost no time during the week to post here, but atleast I have
all my weekends free

Do like me, make time. I've had numerous angry looks from fellow
projectmembers when I suddenly logged into the computer next to me to
check the forum.
