Your right, but then I always see my work is from the mod team and not
from me when I make it for a mod... The only time I took my sketches
with me was when a mod died.

Well cancelling a mod seems serious enough for me. But yeah I think you
really screw people over to just leave with your work...

I would not want to cancel any mod, and I would hope that people would
recognise that everyone is important, but I also recognise that people
have title to their own work, and they have to know that we will
respect that.
The kind of contribution that you make is also relevant. If you make
the worldspace then everyone is dependant on your work, and they give
something to you on that basis. So long as that is so you owe them
something, and so they have a call on you.
On the other hand if you are actively progressing a project that you
have created and someone uses their position to take your project over,
then you have a right to withdraw it.
But if someone has an original idea, does a great drawing, and then a
model that they do all the work on, and later they find a buyer who
does not want to share the rights, what is the situation? Time to
accept the loss... and do another model, wish them all the best, and
congrats on their success...
All a matter of situation and obligation...
I think people need to know that you think these things through ... so
it might be an idea to formulate some kind of policy statement on these
lines.
For example
