Work in Game (lets start making ideas) |
|
as this may not sound very usual in the visual arts it is needed we
need to think how we will publish our work in the forums..... I have an
idea that you might like I thought a litle and instead of a borinf list
of screenshots we could do a great presentaion video my idea is: the
trailer starts with a black background and some calm music starts.....
a voice starts telling the main role of our mod like what is hapening
in valenwood how many new items there are new models etc...... and then
apears a huge building (like my altmar temple) with trees arround it
and some birds singing arrond (the start of the image should be looking
at the door and then starts lookikng up until we see the top of the
temple or we can start inside the temple and we get out to see is
glorious majousty) mow w look arround and see trees and trees the image
starts going up until we see the entire tower from above and its
magnificent graden....... then we point to somwhereelse and the image
starts acelarating (we can edit the movie so it looks like we are realy
going faster) and then we pass by a city (we cant let the movi show
much of the citys so people stays waiting for more) and it passes by
the forest again for like one minute and then the voice startes again
saying like this "an endless forest... an endless adventure...... and
for every great adventure there is a great evil and this is your
(time, turn etc....) to discover the truth behind valenwood's greatest
enemy...
this is only an idea just thinq....

Outlander isn't an insult. You never played Morrowind?

Not technically, but as presented in MW it kinda is.... not that I intended to direct it as an insult at all.

yes I played Morrowind and I played it for almost 3 years and the
outlander line is my favorite line of the game... what I meant is only
to show a video not to share files I am not crazy

Show a video of your own work you mean? In game and stuff would
probably look best and when all the texturing do da etc is done your
models should look even more fantastic.
Your idea does sound good but like Morm and Arbiter said there is a
trailer thread around here somewhere and I think a video plan has been
set up already.
Personally I can see why your a little frustrated making these great
models and not seeing the results in game (hence the threads..) but
working on such a big project your gonna need a little more patience
Dont lose heart though and keep on moddeling, we will all see Valenwood in all its glory that little bit quicker then!

It is a good idea, but there is currently a thread about the trailer in
the Tavern, it would have been best posting it there. I have nothing
against new threads but you need to take more time to look around,
because it's getting a tad clogged up here. You want to see your models
in-game, that is understandable, but first we need everything that is
needed for them to be textured and put in-game.
For example:
The textured model we have needs the ramp evened out, a door and widows.
Southpoint houses need the door.
Every other model you have made excluding the tent, need doors and
windows, I can appreciate that it's not necesarry for it to be
textured, but we do need them to make it look decent in-game.
What I would advise you to do now is get the Small and Large houses you
made (your second project for us I believe) all sorted out, it will
move stuff along much quicker.

If the Video in the Tavern gets done first fine - if anyone impatient has the skills and software then there is the Concept Art Video
that could be done right now as a taster for the other idea that needs
lots of models and scenery to work. 'course you could always bung in a
few models into the Concept art thread to show how concept can be
progressed to finished model... hint.
Well the concept video is still in Silvenar Discussion - but once
someone formally claims it instead of just saying they will try it -
then it might go anywhere ...

but I didn't say I wanted it now I only sent an idea to the open air so
we discuss it.... as for the models I think they are getting done at a
good speed...Dont you think????? I already done the windows for the
south point house and the doose is done too

The models are indeed being done at a good speed, and I am very happy
for that, but I'd rather have everything we need first, rather than
stuff we may need later now.
