hi there here is a story I made for a book it is only a test so dont go jumpy on me...
loool I hope youlike it....
The Soul drinker
This is the story of our beloved swords but not all swords, I am talking of the
mysteious swords sometimes called the Death callers, or heaven the demon Swords, they are the swords
enchanted with the power of drinking souls, and this hisoty is true it,
was given to me by my father as my grandfather did to him, this history tells the true meaning of drinking souls.
A long long time ago when making magic was as natural as eating, a man
remembered to make a spell that could contain magic on another bodys so
that is own body woudn't be tired by the use of magic,so after 20 years he found that if he stored magic force in
personal containers the magic force would't escape from it's container
so he decided to enchant a sword with is new enchant.
After enchanting his sword he tried to take away the magic power from a
living beeing, when he atacked the animal he saw the terrible thing he
have done the spell would'nt only take away the magic force of the
target
but absorve it's life force too, seeing this a terrible power imerged from his body and a voice came in to is mind.
The voice had a carismatic tone and he thaught he was going insane,
when he sleeped he saw is victim duing again but a voice apeared and said: bring me more souls
and I will not destroy your mind, bring the chaos to this world and
I shall not kill you, bring me power and I shall be known as Soul Claimer
and your name will be feared by many and loved by some, but do not try
to destroy me beacause it is impossible by every pice of me that is
destroyed another will be replaced.
200 hundred years and the spell hasn't broken the soul claimer still kills
and his servant still try to destroy the sword, there are tails that
says that he lives in the deep forest's of valenwood trying to hide is
sword from the living people, but has I said this is a history and
if you want to find the true you are crazy orc and you will dye like
an argonian slave, beeing servant of the sword for ever.....
and this is the story of the Soul drinkers.
P.s. As you may now the spell was spread trough the world and it is very used by assasins and
necromancers but as this spells are only poor copies of their father,
there is only one true killer sword the soul claimer...

Well, Umbra was already in the original, so if so, then the guys sword
will have to have been stolen or something like that.

Hmmm.... your style of writing is interesting; more ingame terms and less "poetic" style.

Right, found the dagger in Windy's Little Vector Forge...
Windy has done a render of this using a bland green colouring, but I still like it as bone - here is a link.
The Morrowind weapons all have a History behind them - but this is 'ours.'
If someone is willing to texture this as bone I feel it would make a
fine complement to Azkur's story - which also needs some serious work!
Hints...

Certainly an interesting spin on things. The original concept behind
the dagger is more or less lost to time now, but for sake of insight,
I'll dredge up what went through my head in designing the dagger, if it
helps you at all.
The dagger started out in my head as a concept of a 'wing dagger', some
kind of fey weapon crafted from the wing of a demon, it was originally
meant to look as pieces of wing and membrane stretched over a bone
framework. Following that, the concept changed to be more of a
bone/ivory dagger, I kind of envisioned something made of a rock-like
substance, the sort of color theme you'd see on the inside of an oyster
shell, kind of like pearl but with a dash of color and a sort of
rock-like look but smooth and polished, maybe just a touch of pulsating
water in there to give it a sense of vibrancy and life. In it's current
shape, it would probably still suit that purpose, however since the
premise of its existence here was as a Leaf Dagger, that is how I
presented the render to you guys. It's rather ironic that the concept
has come full circle.
As for the story, I have a few suggestions:
Obviously, the dagger has the property of being able to absorb
or capture essence of some sort, be this souls, spirits, whatever.
Given the bone theme, you could possibly say that it strips souls from
bodies as they die, tearing to pieces to feed itself. If you went with
a more 'nature focused' motif, you could say that it absorbs the power
of the waters that nourish the great forest, you could say it is a
manifestation of the great forest's anger, it's will for vengeance and
urge to lash out at those who have destroyed it's children (trees)
perhaps the dagger feeds on this ambient energy (look at the forest as
a single hive life form?). Just some suggestions for the possibilities.
Either way, feel free to give the dagger as interesting a background as
you like. I am after all but a simple modeller and trust me, I'm
flattered as it is.

Have you seen Mormacil's Concept sketch of the winged mimic from dance in the fire?
- it might be a talking dagger
