I don't want you to stop giving adivse sandor, I don't remember saying anything that should make you think otherwise.
People seem to have tempers rising and this should stop. I don't
understand what you mean by grass textures, aren't those placed with a
circular brush? Seems my knowledge in CS is not as complete as I
thought it was

When you haven't gone though the experience together it is impossible
to judge people - and easy to give unintended pause - so please don't
worry about each other - you're all good at what you do.

Yes you are correct thay are placed with the circular brush as you put
it.Under buildings and rocks use textures with "NoGrass" after there
name. For normal areas you the grass versions hopefully this should
sort out your problems. I would advise against using the region editor
for grass full stop but other seem to think otherwise. In the town
though def use the texture way.
Hope that helps,
Tom

I still don't understand what you mean. My problem is with the grass
models, ferns etc. I need to remove them and I was hoping it could be
done the same way as I added them, but it seems not

I'm still not sure what the problem is:
How did you add them?
Whats the matter with it?
if you did use the region editor to add the grass slect the region,
choose obliterate now, uncheck the "enable that data" in the grass tab
then regenerate the region.
Also Sandor sorry for being a bit rude, I missunderstood what you said
and what FLESHs problem was. You seem to have much greater knowledge
that me at landscape editing and I help you will carry on helping here
in the future.

It was a misunderstanding, lets go on with modding. The main thing is
you are trying to help FLESH and I am trying the same. That's what
matters.
I didn't have a lot of time (I am busy with the new Soluthis). This was the fastest way to remove the grass.
The file can be downloaded here.
What I did:
Removed the 151 area in the region editor.
Created a new area "Valenwood correction"
I used the TerrainWWForestGrassTwigsDirt01SU. I saw it was used in the city.
Removed the grass and renamed it to SrTerrainWWForestGrassTwigsDirt01SU.
Added the new texture to the region.
Regenerated the area.
There is one disadvantage. The road textures are gone. This shouldn't
take too much time (to fix). If I had more time I would have done it.
I used the cleaned Valenwood v10.1 esm.
I attached a screenie with a view on the Cliff side before and after removing the grass.
sandor has attached these images (downsized versions):

Sure, will do after this post.
The problem with what you did sandor is that all the ground textures I
placed are gone. Me being a crappy ground texturer found that it took a
lot of time to get them the way I thought looked decent (I need
opinions on Arenthia, very much so). Don't worry about it anymore. I
will just remove it by hand like I did the first time so that would
mean some grass is left behind (good thing).
Thank you for all your help
