I read about all the posts on the guilds, and out of all them, the
Ranger's guild stuck out the most, if no one wouldn't mind, I'd like t
make a few suggestions and would love to help out as much as I can with
the Rangers guild (If you're gonna put it in).
I was thinking for a guild name it could be ''The Trueflight Pathfinders'' or ''The Wildrunners''.
I was thinking they could be a bit (Gameplay wise) lie a mix between
the Fighters Guild and Thieves guild. (Kinda sneaky in the missions,
but combat oriented none the less)
I was also thinking of a bunch of the new rewards for the quests and what nt, and also a few quests.
I as thinking one of them could be like ambushing a group of evil
khajiit or something, so you'd you have to sneak while there walking
down a forest road on tehir way to commit a crime (kidnap, kill
something like that)
There probably wouldn't really be a guildhall, more like camps/outposts set up throughout the forest.
The guildmembers would mostsly be Bosmer, maybe some Orcs too.
I'm thinking the leader would be a wood elf named something like Parnigar Strongarrow, a wood elf.
I'll post more about my thoughts on thsi after, what'dya think?

Well we all hope to include the rangersguild. I see them as a "good'
guild. We're also planning on a guild that's more like the Morag Tong.
The rangersguild could do a bit the same but in a "good" way. Like
indeed hunting criminals and killing monsters. A bit like a more
sneaky/archery version of the FG.
I think they should have a guildhall, at least a main one. Perhaps in
Falinesti? Of course they got camps around the province, but I imaging
it to be one of the more powerfull guilds in the province. it certainly
is stronger then the FG.
I'm not sure about using Orcs for the rangers... Orcs aren't really
native to Valenwood and not the real hunterstype for a forest I think.
I see them more ans mountainbarbarians. But who knows? Perhaps a Altmer
or two? They could be animaltrainers. They train goblins so why not
wolfs?
Just spawning idea

Yep! I imagine them as a more of a chaotic good guild.
For the guildhall, maybe a more secluded place? Not so directly in the city?
I just said Orc cause there's a lot in Valenwood, personally I don't
like Orcs and don't find thema forest type either, a few Altmer would
be good though.
If you remember there's that Altmer ranger type guy in Chorral.
I'm completely ready to help with the making of this guild in any way I can. (Voice acting, helping with the quests, etc)

Well they need to get contracts, so deep in the woods won't work.
Perhaps for a fanatic Green-Pact faction but not for a commersial group
of warriors

Yep! Good plan.
I ahve soooo many idea's in my head right now for it lol.
I would help with modesl and stuff, but all I got is Daz studio, which I can't make my own models with.
But is their anyhting besides the whole Ranger guild thing you'd want
em to help out with more than others? I've always played a Wood Elf in
Morrowind and oblivion and eevry other game with them too, and have
always wanted to explore Valenwood, I'll help in any way I can.
But for the Rangers guild, I was thinking that you'd also have tracking quests perhaps as well.
For the gear I was thinking a sort of woven grass scarf mask thingy,
that coveres the mouth and nose with a hood as well, but the hood not
woven grass.
I was also thinking, wouldn't some of the bosmer paint themselves with
tribal paint a little paint, even the more civilised ones? |

tribal paint is hard to make
And we got some desings for Ranger armor in the concept art section.
Btw Bosmer can't use grass for clothing -> Green pact.

Nice face and ears! But the problem is it's a facial texture and we
need an aging texture, so not all Bosmer have warpaint
Where did you get the armor btw? Oh and don't hesitate to post your ideas, it's all inspiration

Beautiful!
I love that style of mer. It is what I always pictured Bosmer as, and OB killed that for me.
I can retexture that armor, and make it look more Bosmer-ish.
I think it'd be cool, if someone modelled a leaf, and I could piece it
together with the armor in NifSkope to make the leaves on the armor
look authentic.

Oh, I got an idea earlier.
You know how there is a tatoo mod, for your characters face, and it
uses the age slider for that, well If I can figure out how he did that,
I can modify it to use custom Bosmer facial tatoos, that I'll design
and we can go from there.

Cool, I've been trying to figure it out all day, and still have nothing.
I can create some designs also, that should fit into Valenwood.

Tatoos woudl be pretty cool especialy if you could buy them from a shop.
Kaeryn try downloading and getting used to blender. Its a free (and
very good) moddeling program which you can create objects for Valenwood
using. You sound pretty good so it wont take long for you to pick it
up. |

Well easiest way is to make the tats part of the armor. All the open area's can be told to pick the skintexture.
*Forum is beeing annoying and telling me you didn't made any new posts while I myself count 4

Ahhhh - at last.
Remember that Companies of Rangers/Archers from Valenwood are talked
about in historical texts of Morrowind, Daggerfall etc ... so could we
try something new?
Hows about each company is a separate entity
Each is joinable
Each has a different recruitment area
They are the Bosmer equivalent of Military
In true Bosmer style they are somewhat chaotic in political orientation
amd semi-mercenary except when called upon by the Bosmer King (that
guff about the leader of the Bosmer is merely a misinterpretation of a
description by an outsider who did not have full command of the Bosmer
tongue and was confused by the attitude of the Bosmer to life and their
socety generally) we know there is a throne in Falinesti.
Each company accepts responsibility as guardians of their area of the
forest before any wild antics that may take their fancy etc ...
Not all of a company is part of the standing army - many are
'reservists' on call at need but basically following their own paths
and other occupations
Thinnking what a frontier society that has matured but keeps its frontier ways will be.
---------------
your elf is very pretty
(and what a cute and sexy costume
- perfect for a 'revel' ) I support the idea of maintaining variations
of Vallenwood, Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Cyrodillian Bosmer - all of
which should also be present in some numbers to provide a balanced and
varied society along with continuity - as in certain types of Bosmer
were attracted to life in other provinces?

Well I think not
The main reason bosmer women dislike bosmer men is because they're supposably very poor lovers...
