About ancient and modern techniques of the bowyer and fletcher - esp Chinese

Includes several articles on CHINESE MULTIPLE SHOT CROSSBOWS
this type of weapon apparently goes back to the Warring States Period
c. 350 - 250 BC!!!

examples given = diagram of Ming Dynasty multiple shot xbow - 1368-1644

10-12 small 'flightless' bolts held vertically in a magazine on top of the xbow
only accurate at short range.

Plus actual examples of more modern MSXbows

Do we intend to use xbows? Probably not, but interesting reading for martial arts fans anyhows.

Yeah I learned this while playing Age of Empires II years ago :) Those bows are so cool :) I don't think we'll implent them in VW though. To hard and we got no animator.

I think it's very hard to code something like that, but who knows :)

maybe easier than a bow as the trajectory is flat - and it's inaccurate so it is only effective at short range...
