Well the Silvenar gladly accepts your services!
Just brows through the claims and grab one
Also making any of our latest art is a good way to go (in 3D)

Do we have archtecture modeled for silvenar? There are island interiors
(caves and houses). There are a couple or larger more complicated
interiors i'm yet to put up if you are interested? Can ou do regions? |

There is tavern interior to do (Waterdrakes Tap). It made of two
sparate interiors a small one and a large one. The large is the tavern
while the small one is a room to rent forthe player. The only things is
that I think it would be nice to made some customs models (barset) for
this interiors? What do ppl think is there suffcient vanilla parts to
make it? Will just a retex do or should I try to make a custom
Valenwood barset? If yes what should it look like? Concepts (morm)?
There is also a double story building, which has yet to be decided what it contains. It was a cheifs house or a indoor market.
There are plenty on interiors forund herewhihc are in need of completion: board252.htm

The bar is run by a Nord? That way we could use some stuff from Bruma. Nords don't care about the Green Pact.

Oh you're welcome to model anything you want
We can use any amount of props
How about a big stone furnas for outdoors? You usually cook meat and that's not handy inside a living plant.

OK ill make a furnace that will be pretty easy. What do they use as
fuel? Dead wood? They can be used on the island aswell. Do we have any
concept for a shrine type thing, not sure what it would be used for but
it wul be pretty cool to find one in the jungle |

We got some concepts but they're shaped like trees so pretty hard to model right.

possible fuels:
-imported fuels
-dung
-a flower / plant that can be 'milked' for a secretion that burns;
-surface coal;
-crystals that absorb sunlight and give back heat (rare or common?);
-what is that stuff that burns when mixed with water?
-gas - methane - other gas natural to Valenwood.
Does the pact forbid mining?
Do these three islands fall within the pact - maybe they are outside it
because offshore, but many of the Bosmer choose to follow pact ways
despite this? poss scenarios and literature there

Hey guys, it's me again.
As far as plants that can be "milked" for burning secretions, there are
several. The pitch/sap from Douglas firs and pines is extrememly
flammable and some trees have been known to explode when it gets too
hot. Pitch/sap from those trees is also used to waterproof boat
bottoms, btw.
Here's are some sites with the info, plus more on other burning plant secretions:
http://waynesword.palomar.edu/ecoph22.htm#resins
http://forums.firehouse.com/archive/index.php/t-15441.html
As far as that stuff that burns when mixed with water...maybe you're
thinking of Greek Fire?? BUt to this day, no one knows how it was made.
Site:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_fire
Lastly, regular magnesium, burns both on land and in water (it produces
it's own oxygen, so can burn under water), and won't stop burning til
all of it is used up. A bar of magnesium, something to shave pieces off
of it with, and a flint sparker = basic survival fire starter. |

nice one Koniption and welcome to Valenwood - or have you been here for some time hidin in the trees?
I had a further thought:
a 'burning' flower - real fire flowers
Bosmer could not cut a tree to get the sap, but they could collect it
if a bark-bitin insect or bird (woodpeckers come to mind) had cut it -
in which case ther would be an industry with groves of trees where the
animals or birsds are 'encouraged' by some kind of lure to chew/peck
precisely where the herder/sapper/mage wanted them to.
That could make for some lively forest detail

Raggidman:
I've been here for some time hiding in the trees.
I work on The Ocean Mod with OblivionMon. I've posted here before,
about the "Nastiest Fungus'" and "10 MOst Magnificent Trees in The

have you seen Mormacil's sea beasty - looks a bit like a mermaid type
fish that we find in warmer atlantic waters - very gentle and friendly
lookin. I suspect that if you guys are thinkin about mergin your ocean
with our coastline then Mormy would be tickeled pink to see a model of
his beasty.
suggest it is mammalian and might act a bit like a dolphin or such.
also, have you checked out winsurfer's coral ... we reallly want to get
that animated, can you imagine our seascapes with waving coral and
kelp?

Naw, I haven't seen his sea beasty. I haven't extensively visited past
threads, I just pop in every now and then to see new posts. I don't
know if we're merging our mod with your coastline; OBMon told me our
islands would be in separate worldspaces.
Are you trying to say he'd like a model of his beasty in our oceans, or that he'd like us to model his beasty???? lol
I saw windsurfer's coral, looks sweet. I'm worried that animating coral
and kelp might cause a lot of PC's to lag. Isn't underwater rendering
supposed to be more CPU intensive, anyway, just to render the water and
it's effects??
We want to do our own coral too. I've now accomplished doing modeling,
texturing, Nifskope animations, and am now working on learning creature
animations. Darn, I hope I get it right without much hassle.
I would help you guys out if I had spare time. You would be my #2
choice of a mod project to join. But I've commited to Ocean Mod. I'll
pop in every now and then and spout needed facts, ideas, knowledge when
I feel the urge. I never knew modding would force one to learn so many
new things about biology and so many other things. It's like college
all over again, LOL! |

is one whihc tempts me. I have made the furnace just need to sort of
the uv (mostly done) and create a texture.

Uh, I don't see a sketch or a link to a sketch of the seabeast. I don't know why drmccoy sees it and I don't.

I sent OblivionMon a PM and told him what you said, and the link to
this thread. I don't know what he'll say, so no promises. He might pop
by here and make a post with an answer. |

If anything I wouldn't mind doing a few trades of models. I saw an
amazing flower model that someone had made for your jungle. |

I vote for nord. Gives it a little bit of a change. Besides, Bosmer
probably don't know how to brew a good drink. Nords do though
Me also likes raggidman's idea with the witch. There could be a witch
and a necromancer, living hidden in caves or basements or something.
And they are having a huge argument. And you can help either of them.
You'll end up killing one of them after all anyways. And if you kill
both you can bring the mayor their heads (if you find evidence for them
being witch/necromancer). Maybe he'll give you a little payment?
