I won't hide that I've said some discouraging things about the projects
current state, nor will I hide that I don't expect to see it finished,
but I would love to be surpised.
With that in mind, on my better days I'm a dedicated worked, and this
project and the people who have worked on it have always had special
importance to me as a second home at silgrad, never liked the way
things Vvardenfell got things done, always felt out of the loop at
skyrim, and nothing else ever got off the ground. Besides that, I
worked with FLESH and inhereted some of his enthuesiasm for the
project. So though my knowledge of happenings may be limited by my
intermittant reading of the forums, and my vision of Valenwood may be
dated by a few leaders, I'd still be willing to assist in any capacity
and in any position of authority, from nil to core, you'd take me in.
What can I say? Trees are pretty.

agreed. his TR showcase
back in october 07 was mediocre, and he didn't stick around to fix it
(which may have been partly our fault for a semi-slow response, but
what can I say, were busy people). From what I can see, he has
attempted to joining/start several mods with mixed results. he quit TR,
left (or got baned from, according to akavir posts)
a asian mod, started a zombie mod (not sure what happened to it) and is
now on starwars. for me, personally, commitment is very important and
he aint showing much of it so far.
Has not having a leader at all been considered? as you know I am a huge
proponent of core leadership. I think that if its imposible to find a
leader it might be best to just stick with a strong, cohesive, core for
now. once the project picks back up again and/or a suitable person is
found he can be promoted to leader.
PS. thanks for having me guys

I'd like to thank JKJ for coming in and holding the leader pos, its quite a poisoned chalice with this mod it seems.
Strong, cohesive core sounds good to me - if we dont find a new leader
with the dedication we need (LOTS) and JKJ stands down at some point I
think resting 'leadership' upon a strong core might end up being the
best option.
Thanks for accepting me too!
Quite an interesting place...

After what lady N said I agree we should at least see how ofte he
contibutes etc before making any desisions at all. Although I posted a
showcase for T rebuilt and after VERY slow responces gave up and joined
skyrim which ledme to here
. Maybe like Durdain said we should end up as strong core?
Well welcome aboard guys. Durdain you have very good interior skills
and general ideas (if you have a working pc). Lady N I've seen and
heard about your skills etc and i'm very happy to be working with you
Shame my laptop wont handle the CS i'm sure there must be a way
though with a dual core 1.8 and a 1gb of Ram. Othersie this would be
working much faster as I could add my coral etc to the mod. Like I said
Interiors, NPC, Pathgrids and Quests are all that remain for ther
islands then I can move on to other areas. |

Well we could all work together as co-leaders like we do over in the
litter box. It seems to work fairly well over there, and I'd much
rather remain in Valenwood as a Co-leader than Sole Leader. What do you
guys think? Could we make co-leadership work for Valenwood. We have
three active co-leaders for Elsweyr (DarkAs, raggidman and I), we would
certainly have a good number here.
In light of Chris07 background I'm reluctant to let him anywhere near the core until he has proven himself a capable modder.

Hey all,
What words to use, which sentences to write. Hmm, things are complex
indeed. One thing I can say though, is that I do not think Chris07
should be made leader, why? You have pointed out all the reasons, but
my main is that he has two major mods right now, and Valenwood seems to
be a sort of side interest to him, a curiosity even. Think of me what
you will, but Valenwood is my home, and I've tried to make it work as
best as I could (at times, more recently, not at all
).
I propose that I remain as a figure head, as for now I can't see myself
doing massive amounts of work (modding being mainly the thing, modeling
however I am keen to try). Think of it as the President of Ireland, or
Queen of England, neither have real power, as the prime ministers of
those countries do. But both are important parts of the government that
help to make it run well.
From my point of view I can see no one that has more passion for the
mod than I do, but those are meaningless words if there is no action to
back that up. And I am sorry to say I don't know how much action I can
provide. I can say that I am ready to provide steady support for the
mod once again. At times getting really involved, at times not as much.
But I will try as in the best of my power not to 'leave' like I did
before. The reason for my absence was that I wasn't ready, one morning
I woke up and thought "Wow, how in the name of god am I going to manage
all that work" and I saw myself taking it in all at once.
I realise I can't take it in all at once, and I never should have
thought I would need to (the reason for me going away). But I CAN do it
one step at a time. We must keep the most important thing in our heads,
we are doing this for fun. For me it had turned into work, real work,
and I shouldn't have let that happen, a lot of this could have been
avoided were it not for that. I can safely say though that I have
returned a different person, not in my ideas, or passions, but in the
way I look at things. I have learned to pace myself, and am eager to
get things moving once again, in any way I can.
Metaphors, and sentimental speeches aside. I would like to extend my welcome to Durdain, Lady Nerevar ( yes, I know you
) and Ja-Kha'jay. Congrats all of you, and I look forward to seeing the new Valenwood in action.

Don't panic too much FLESH, I managed to keep chris07 on as a casual
modder for Valenwood. He is not having anything to do with the core,
he'll just mod if anything tickles his fancy, as most of us do. Anyway
welcome back
