Hey all, I have recently been learning how to model. But I need to know
if this program: Solid Works '07 can be used for model making. If it
can then I am ready to make things. Please provide concept art in the
form of front view, right view and top view. Thank you

heh, you don't want much
try googling for 'ancient' and 'modern' household objects - plates,
bowls and mugs, etc. They will provide you with basic shapes that will
not require various views.
then go to Amphorae, jugs and such - more complicated shapes, but still round.
then tables ... etc - build up the shapes you can master by increments.
The next step is plants and other such 'statics' ...

I can make a tank, and a rocket, but somehow I don't think thats very
usefull to the mod hehe. I can save my work in a load of different
formats, but no .nif or .obj. There is 3DXML (.3dxml) and Universal 3D
(.u3d), those two I thought might relate something to models. Any ideas
what we can do with that people?
As for the drawings, it is infact easier to do than a fully isometric
picture. And it makes my life a whole lot easier having a couple of
views to base my model on.

That can be again conferted with 3DS max, the downside is with each
conversion you increase the chance of artefacts in the mesh.

I like the jugs, I might be able to model that, a question. Would I need to make the insides hollow?

But thats a texture job. I'm wondering what needs to be done from the modeling point of view.

somewhere
there is a thread where we went into that - probs an exchange with Windy
Fire
- There are chemicals that can burn - but they would have to be surface collectable not mined.
- There is mana-fire
- There is the giant Fire Beetle in Morrowind so there might well be a
Valenwood domestic insect equivalent that holds fire rather than throws
it
- Bone burns - but the quantities?
- Tallow = rendered animal fats
- Dung
- An insect might produce an exudate that is a very pure oil
- more?
Light
- Insects in lamps
- Insects that emit light but are static by nature
- Fish - deep-sea varieties carry lamps on their foreheads - ...
- mana lights
- other as above

Make the top a slight bowl, that's all that's needed.
