I thought some of you guys might get a kick out of this. Yesterday I
was able to talk to a great character modeler for Oblivion, and taught
me how to put myself in the game. Of course I chose a Wood Elf as the
race, and this is the result:
He also taught me how to duplicate a player's appearance as an NPC. So
I got to thinking, if I were to make Wood Elves with your likenesses
too, would you be into the idea of making them citizens of Valenwood? |

That was a problem with mine :p My cheek bones and jaw shapes were less
"pronounced" in my model. When I had it perfectly accurate, it looked
"too real" for the game, if you know what I mean. |

That is excelllent - can we get this into an NPC or even a player
character, and if you find any other potential Bosmer of all ages and
descriptions then please add them too.
We would really appreciate a fat Bosmer! We have had no fat Elder
Scrolls Characters so far, but Mormy and I have been playing around
with a fun idea that as Bosmer are obliged to eat their enemies within
3 days the arena Champions might be gigantic - overeating, plus
daunting to anyone who defeats them and has to eat them - rather die
eh?

I know for a fact that fat faces/heads are possible, it's just the
bodies that will be tougher to create since that requires taking the
existing ones, stretching them out a bit, and of course changing the
texture. Fatter bodies with muscular textures wouldn't really work well

Definitely! The thing is though, one of the programs needed to do this
is no more and he gave it to me. Also one of the other programs you
need is uhh... not free
Also what he told me was limited and a help guide for one of the
programs wasn't written in very understandable English, so it was a
little tougher than I wish it would have been :p |

That's a really interesting article. That's sort of what I mean. I
guess one example would be, if you were to import a person's exact
likeness into, say, Super Mario 64 or something. It would be realistic,
but wouldn't fit with the rest of the characters, so the person's
likeness would have to be modified to be more "cartoony". If... that
makes any sense :p |

Hey, wasn't there a body shape mod being made, that was gonna add more
variety to how thin or fat you and NPC's can be? I remember coming
across it on the Bethesda forums, but I forget the name... |

Here it is: "BodyShapes" by Breeze582000
It changes the body by going by your characters stats. It's on hold for
now, but not abandoned. The guy making it is busy with another mod
project right now. There's a concept video to watch, though, pretty
neat.
