there is an overhead view just before the battles begin on one link ... an danother in between ...
they are a bit confusing on this comp as this hasno decent graphics capability

Is this kind of what we're looking for in Falinesti, guys? But perhaps more horizontal-ness in the branches.

I don't think it's skinny. Remember, only half a mile wide. Imagine the player as a tiny dot in the middle of that.

I think it looks good. Its quite a lot how I pictured it just with buildings out of woven branches.

The only way we can get in trouble like that is by actually taking the
model file, and importing it into oblivion. No one here can, or wants
to do that, just inspiration is all

Grumpy raggidman pulls out some more hair and beard ...
We all want wonderful, normal, familiar treeishness ... but I have been
realising that will not work here for the Graht Oaks. We have to get
back to basics and find some new solutions from geometry and physics,
then we can graft treeishness onto that.

Sometimes I fell happy that I don't live in the Netherlands.
More on topic: that tree is also tall. I guess 200 à 300m tall, almost
as high as the eiffel tower. The player has to climb in the trunk to
reach the top. By the way, this game is built only for the playstation
1 version, so don't judge the graphics too hard. |

Even with a small 200m tall tree that does not and never did walk the
puir wee thingy is like tae be fell on it's skinny little ass the first
time a small breeze gets up - because the Canopy will act like a sail!
In addition to the the load-bearing factors.
pretty obvious eh?
Why do you think trees do not grow that tall in RL?
