Description & Details

[/HR]

One of the few Argonians who inhabits this staunchly Imperial outpost, this Shaman is not here by choice. He was supposedly ejected from his tribe for some unknown offence, though some suspect that this may be a cover story and that he is in fact a spy. Certainly, he seems to take a great interest in the people of the city, although he claims this is just idle curiosity. Thus-Spoke-the-Egg turned up at the gates at just the right time, as the Garrison's resident Mage had just left for Cyrodiil due to chronic marsh disease and no replacement had been announced. The Commander employed the wandering Shaman on an ad-hoc basis as a healer and producer of potions to counteract the many diseases and poisons his troops encounter. He also accepts business from visitors and civilians of the town. His home should be cramped and filled with shamanic clutter, making full use of Phitt's new Argonian resources.

How to mod your interior

Interior modding carries with it the same responsibilities as it does on our father project, Silgrad Tower. This means that there will need to be NPCs, Containers, Lighting etc. For a really nice checklist that is very, very thorough, try this one from Zurke: A handy checklist to create an interior for ST . Zurke is the most experienced and prolific interior modder I know of so it's all good advice.

Cluttering your Interior

This, like many of our claims, is a mini-claim which means that you can use the existing vanilla layout or delete everything in there and start over. However, whichever method you choose, you will need to bear in mind the need to replace many of the vanilla items with our own BM objects (whichever are appropriate to the owner and the purpose of the building). For more information about mini-claims, read this: Interiors Strategy .

Please try to use the BM objects as much as possible. And try to consider the story behind the owner of the house (which you may adapt unless stated) and add clutter as appropriate to them and the particular locations. This might include foodstuffs, flora, cutlery, paintings, tribal items, custom furniture, bedding and maybe a desk if this interior involves using the NPC as a trader. There are now LOTS of cultural objects for Argonian dwellings including cupboards, rootchairs and so on but other races can use some of our own items too, especially race-neutral objects such as cutlery, ingredients and books. Please ask or check this thread to find out more: Clutter Advice .

Please remember to light the area. Imperial lighting should mainly be used in Gideon and we have few lighting options that are especially unique so please consider SI lights as well if they fit with the interior. If you have any further suggestions, requests for models and so on then please consult this thread: Furnitures & Clutters or this one: http://www.silgrad.com/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=11447. Just ask if you have any special ideas for extra models.

Have fun! :goodjob:
I adjusted this claim. :check:
Hi IG;
This seems nice, i claim this so I can get to work once I put tue touches on Mendel. I got some nice dialogue ideas.
Welcome back, PWN!

You certainly may. Done. :check:

Remember that, with all Blackrose claims, the interior models of the houses are likely to be the incorrect models as these are ones with holes in the top and so on. This is because when Deeza set these up, the original interior models were not available. My advice is to use the 'search-and-replace' facility in the CS to switch it with the model by the same name that ends with 'int'. You may have to remove some items of bamboo that were originally used to cover the gaps but otherwise that would sort it and make the whole act of modding the claim a lot easier.
Actually, this is an exception to that rule as it uses one of the village hut models (this guy is an argonian of the old school who doesn't care much for Lilmoth buildings)
Thanks Deez!

Cheers for the clarification. Have fun, PWN!
Hi IG;
Done interior, been sick the last two days otherwise I would have been done by now. I just need to do the guy and his dialogue and his AI,
Anything I need to know about his schedule.

PWN
Best to check the 'description and details' section above if you are unsure. It turns out, having read it, that this is a Shaman. This is slightly problematic in that we are hoping to get some new shamanic clothing at some point and this can then mean that we will switch his clothing later for whatever is produced.

In the meantime, follow the directions given above and bear in mind that there is a temple in the city that might be used. However, two issues come to mind with the temple. One is that it is a Lilmoth temple and therefore may not actually be frequented by an Argonian shaman anyhow. Also, if you come out of the interior cell, could you check that the temple itself is of an appropriate size? The reason I ask is that, after morcroft created an updated version of the model, he also resized it, meaning that the temple could be much larger than intended. A way of finding out if this is the case is to go into the main city cell and check that the temple and things like the walkways around the temple do not 'clip' into each other.

Anyway, the AI for a shaman should be fairly easy. They tend to remain where they are or roughly thereabouts.
Hi IG;

Just remembered, I forgot to put in the door when i was play testing, but which one am I to use, i have a very basic one that doesn't look to good, but it might look okay from another point of view. So I originally took the nif of his house, grabbed the nifstrip of the plank of wood his door was, and made it a door, didn't look and fell right so got rid of it.

i have set him up as a mage as i spent a long time trying to find shaman clothing and spells, so he has some basic ones which took me a few minutes, i can easily replace them and as he is shaman, i made him have a high magicka.

Thanks;

Will do that in a bit with the temple.
