Trying to get the screen resolution down so I'm moving about a number
of the menu buttons. I'm going to add more screenshots to the main page
but I would like to know if the right/left slider bar disappears for
anyone using a 1024 resolution. (I'm using 1280).

It's looking a lot easier to navigate!
I was extremely bored at school last week, so I played around in
Photoshop with the idea of a new Blacklight website. If you have
Photoshop, then you can see what I have so far. I posted it on the web
so I can get it on my computer here at home, but as mine is down at the
moment, I'm screwed.
Here is what I've got so far. Click 'download to desktop' directly under the crappy picture.

I like the background. The lantern on the left side is a nice touch.
Let me look over it a bit to see if I can suggest anything to add to
it.

It looks a lot better now, nice work Rodan
- Might I suggest that you specify a font for your webpage? The default
Times New Roman doesn't look as nice as some of the other fonts.
- I thought I'd mention that your meta keywords tag includes Tamriel Rebuilt, which might be misleading.
- I don't think using CTRL+B to bookmark a site works in Firefox. I
tried it and it brought up my bookmarks in an explorer-type window on
the left side of the screen.

Thanks for the feedback! The font I'm using is Papyrus which a lot of
machines don't have, I'm using the fantasy font as a backup but if you
have a better suggestion let me know. I've fixed the meta tag and got
rid of the bookmark at the bottom.

I haven't heard of either of those fonts before. Tahoma looks good I
think, and is fairly common. Maybe you could tag it on after those two
two specialty fonts? Verdana would work too.

Would you like to use this layout? I don't have dreamweaver on this
school computer yet, but I could hurry up and get the teacher to add
it.
Maybe something like the second one?

Very nice NR.
I have to ask.. have you considered not using absolute values for
table/cell/frame sizes? In HTML coding if you use a percentage instead
of absolute values (ie: width="20%" instead of width="120") your
webpage will "size" itself to some degree. You can also set image sizes
to a percentage although that can get messy.

I found the work to be excellent NR. If you can get Dreamweaver to work
on the school computer I'd like to see the final work on it. Besides
waiting for my copy of Oblivion I have two more medical tests this week
I have to endure (an MRI and EEG) as well as getting used to the
results I've already gotten. So if you need anything from me I will
gladly send it to you.

Thanks guys!
If I get my comp back today, I'll be able to mess with it here at home
(though that isn't likely, I'm picking up my copy of OB today YEAH!!!).
I am only in that class for 2 days out of the week.

I don't really like using percentages because of the different
resolutions. If I am on a 800x600 computer, the table will resize and
the text and stuff will be distorted, if it's inteded for a 1024x760.
Same thing if I'm using 1280x1024 res, it will stretch out by a
significant amount and will look wierd. In some cases I do use
percentages though.

Notice anything new around here?
Rodan and I would like to introduce part of the new website
in-the-works. The new forum, as you can see, is already up and running
smooth.
Both the forum and the first page of the website will take some time to
load, as it is pretty graphical, but once it is cached shouldn't pose a
problem to anybody. Each page uses the same basic images, so it will
stay consistent.
