I would like your ideas on quests for Blacklight. So far there are ideas on:

Nordic Invasion (Possible Windhelm/Blacklight conflict as well)
Dragon rescue
and a few others

I would like your thoughts on different quest ideas for the districts of the city and Cormaris View, Azhag, Windhelm and other areas.

Lore isn't my strong point but I'd like a quest involving gears and cogs from the dwemer. An excavation trying to get a large gear back to town. And the player figures out they can just push it over the cliff and it will roll back to town... havok style. :)

hahaha I like it...
or maybe, there is a great Dwemer clog somewhere nearby in a ruin... and there is a large fleet of Nordic boats near Blacklight, and if you drop the clog off the cliff it should hit the Chief's ship :lmao:

Seems like their should be some thieving rings around, are the commona tong traditionally strong in the area? If imperial guilds are moving out of everything in MW, then I would think the commona tong would grow in power, at least on Vvardenfell.... so here too mabie? I wanna steal stuff. Dancing Banana

I don't think the Commona Tong would let an outlander join. Remember how they despised outlanders?

But I bet the Thieve's Guild would still be running.

Doesn't mean they can't be involved in quests, I think there could be some interesting interactions, the thieves guild will probably be on their way out.

Quest involving the Arena

"THE MATCH IS FIXED!"

SOMEBODY is fixing the matches in the Arena - but who? The leader of the bookies syndicate is extremely pissed off at all the unexpected wins by the underdogs (three) in the past month. He wants an adventurer to find out!

Initial Suspects:

the three underdogs (all of whom have bet on themselves to win)
Two regular big winners (one an aristocrat with a big house with guards, hard to break into, another a mysterious person whom nobody seems to know exactly where he lives)

Later it is discovered that in the last week the bookie syndicate leader himself has been placing bets on the underdogs. Is HE the one? Or was he just hedgeing against his losses?

And how is the fixing going on anyway? The last champion to lose muttered something about "...bolt...bolt..." before being rushed off to hospital. A real bolt? Or a Magical, invisible bolt shot at him from the audience?

He is still alive, but unconcious, in the Temple. Could he be restored to conciousness by a potion?

I think we should make this quest into a real detective -story 'whodunit' and include, as the climax of the quest, the hero fighting in the Arena against an Uber Champion or even a Beast. Then at the moment the hero is about to win, the 'secret weapon' will be deployed, only the hero will have learned about it beforehand and negate it. The true villian will then see that he is about to lose a ton of money, and at once create a diversion in the form of a riot by the Arena Audience while he tries to slip into the betting office and destroy the betting slips. The hero thus must not only defeat his opponent, negate the secret weapon, but make his way through the riot to the betting office in time to have the final showdown with the villian before the villian destroys the evidence!

Good, heh???
