Don't understand the business owning in Oblivion but think you can earn cash here, why not own the brewery in Blacklight? Or the winery or distillery there. Could become a good questline in any of the three!

When you own it you could get weekly payments like when your a guild leader of some guilds (Dark Brotherhood is the only one I can think of but I think theer are otheres) But you also have to manage it, hire and pay workers, and pay taxes.

At first it would be costly, but in the end you would earn a lot of money.

Weekly salaries would be this. Once a week you get 100-500 gold dependending on how well it business is. there are like 2-5 workers (There could be more or less) and each has a weekly salary of 50 gold. So if you're doing bad and getting a 100 gold per week than you actually ahve to pay money you're personal money to pay you're workers. There could also could be a 10 gold tax (COuld be higher). I'll think of more stuff tomorrow.

Thanks for the extra ideas! Taxes, worker salaries, we could have a lot of fun with this. It can offer even a quest idea of finding an ancient beer that will give the PC even more money in the long running!

Some extra ideas. With placeholder dialogue and names

You run around town like a moron until you ask about rumors.

NPC: zomg the happy bunny brewery is going out of business!1!!1

You get the quest and follow the ezquest quest compass to the store owner.

Storeowner: Bla I'm going out of business. If you want the brewert I'll sell it for a small amount of money.

You pay 100 gold, and go in and talk to the workers. They might quit if you have a low personality and speechcraft and you would have to hire others.

You get missions to set up the brewery and possibly have the option to name it ( I would name it in my game the happy bunny brewery) Once its set up you have to do management stuff. If you aren't a good manager (Depends on stuff to do and your personality and mercantile) than you'll do bad and lose money.

Salaries. Each week you get 500-2000 gold. Each workers salary is 70 gold. There can be 3-7 workers, and the more workers there are the higher the morale. there is also a tax which is 200 gold.

Workers have morale depending on How much you like them, your personality, how well the business is doing, and the amount of workers. If the morale is higher then the business will do better.

There could be specific quests like you said.

We've been discussing a possible Alchemist Guild, with the arrival of ataridante who is currently also working that up for a standalone mod on ESF. Would you want to crossover in any way?

Heh. I realise that I am responding to all your quests in this way, as these are the things that I have been working with. I do not want to see everything you do tied up with other stuff, as your own recipe makes the cake, but I am hoping that you will want to create some background tie-ins as useful, so I'm looking to see if you (and Dusty) are happy if I bung in some more of these teasers...

What I am trying to achieve is quantity of ideas considered and input so that the Literature and Lore writes itself...if you see what I mean?

Bring in all the teasers you want, my friend! :)

Dusty is becoming more of a scamp (hard to believe this hyperactive kitten is getting worse :) )
