Getting the interior layouts completed |
|
Just finished the ones for Evenshore (feeling a bit restless). If I'm
up to it, I'll start on the Azhag interiors tomorrow. So if anyone
wants to work on a quick interior, I'll put up the file for those
interiors I've finished.

What I do is get the interiors finished off without decorations or
NPC's done for members to claim. I found it makes it easier so they
don't have to put up teleport markers, exacting coordinates, etc. If
anyone needs more space such as a basement or another area I can also
put it together for them.
I usually can build a simple interior within 15 minutes and a larger
interior in a few hours. The new ones I'm building are using a slightly
new formula.

For Morrowind, I used to place the Northmarker at:
x:0
y:0
z:0
For the newer interiors the coordinates of the Northmarker are at:
x:512
y:512
z:0
Now I can start an interior at (0,0,0) which makes it a little easier to use the negative coordinates I create interiors in.

That's a great idea Rodan
Maybe I'll do something similar to that in the Oblivion mod. It would
probably save time as opposed to trying to explain to a newbie how to
use all the custom interior models we'll need to use.

So you just have the most experienced people/person do the interior
architecture and then dish out the decorating jobs? Is that a correct
summary of this? |

No, hehe. I've done a lot of decorating on my own.
A lot of the stores, homes, and taverns are my own work.

I know... but I think i'll adopt the idea in some smaller form....
like the lead of each city will put in the teleports for everything after the buildings are placed...
tedious but necessary

A lot of the modders who claimed around and in Blacklight have created
their own interiors. Endassartalpi for example was created not by
myself (and the scale there was remarkable). The modder who just
claimed two buildings, Sandor, asked that he would get the layouts of
two interiors because he wants to get used to working on the CS. So I
just try to help out where I can.
The new Blacklight I'll probably have a lot of modders create their own interior layouts since it's going to be a larger city.
