Just thought since that there were all these threads about War and
Politics that we each should know each others background and people. I
thought it wouldn't hurt and I dont want any racial slurs here it just
may help some people see differently before posting. Here Ill start.
Both of my Great GrandFathers were in the Nazi German Army one was pit
machine gunner the other was an officer of some sort. On my Dad's Side
all I know is we have noblitiy in our blood and my grandfather sold our
armor shield sword and other stuff since he didn't like the idea of it.

Hmm not much to say, my grandparents were kids during WW2. On my mothersside I got some nobleblood, very, very far away
On my dad's side I'm sure to be 5 generations dutch and we got a familyweapon, not sure if that means anything though
My great grandfather on my mothers side luckily did not have to fight at the Greppenberg in WW2, hmm not much to tell.
Are we here going to talk about our families oranything armyrelated?

I am mostly Polish, about 75%. On my dads side, we traced our family all the way back to William the Conquerer.

heritage... Taiwanese.... mostly Han with a bit of aborigine (Taiwanese)
on my father's side...
I have an ancestor named Tseng Tzu, a pupil of Confucious, quite
famous, though not in the western world. My father and his father are
Tseng, my grandmother is Sun. When my early Tseng ancestors came to
Taiwan, many of them married Aboriginal Taiwanese women. I may have som
eof that blood. When my grandparents were little, many got japanese
education since they had taken over. During WW2, my grandparents had to
go into the countryside. It wasn't the Japanese, it was the USA who
didn't know the different between Japanese and Taiwanese, didn't care,
and just bombed everyone. My grandmother had to hide in the sewers
taking care of her younger siblings. Thanks America. Of course the KMT
from China come running in and screwing everything up... and everyone
was ecstatic when democracy came. The Tsengs and Suns are hard working
commoners, gangsters, and small businessmen. My grandfather has been a
policeman, a wood merchant, a farmer, and used to be the town writer
cause he had an education. We're the Taiwanese people, not those
out-born people who hold the money and steal from us
as for my mother's side...
they were coming from China during the Chinese Civil War. The
communists took everything. My grandfather brought his wife to Taiwan,
there they had children and he worked at a railroad. My grandmother's
mother had foot-binding done. She came from a declining noble family.
They fled to Taiwan, etc. They are Lin
----
the Tsengs and Lins don't get along great... but whatever. Some are
native, and some are out-born. Some support independence and some
support reunification...
I think it is ironic that the peopl ewho flee China and come to pick on
the Taiwanese have forgotten what the Communists did to them. They have
forgotten that the Communists would've killed them, they took their
homes, killed their parents. Now China is wealthy, and these out-borns
think they're Chinese, but China only uses them as a way to get Taiwan.
The Taiwanese banks, run by these out-borns, as being looted by corrupt
government officials. These fuckin bastards act all great and bully
Taiwanese economically and politically. When a Taiwanese president came
into office, A-bien, they boo-ed him and yelled at him telling him to
get the hell out of there. What honor? What respectability?
All I see is hypocrisy and cowardice.
That's my heritage... I cannot say much good.
What I can say that is good is that we's hard-working and loving people.
Even if my family isn't great... I'd die for them, even the side of my
family that supports China, acts so arrogant, even infront of my dad's
side...
it pisses me off but that's that and life's life

I'm mainly a mixture of German-Hungarian I believe, but I'm mainly
German (some of my great-grandparents on my mom's side couldn't speak
English, and her parents speak it as a second language, or did at
least). I am closer to my dad's side (where the mixed blood comes in).
This is where I received my complete Republican (conservative political
party in th US, party of the current president) outlook on politics,
but I can truly say that I don't only agree with their veiws just
because of my family. I received my religion from both sides of my
family. that probably explains most of my opinions in a nutshell.

I'm English (east midlands), but living in america, so therefor I have no heritage.
I sort of wish I was four generations earlier as my family served
all over India. When that ended most of my family went to the UK and
australia. My father was an engineer for BAE and moved to the states
when I was 5, he naturalized and now works for Northrop Grumman.
I would move back, but insane or not I prefer California to blighty(too crowded, too cold and tooo political).
Living here for soo long its my home, I like California a lot, because
even with all its flaws its better than 98% of the rest of the
world(and I've seen much prolonged, belive me).
I could move to Australia, just wouldn't want to be alone so I
would be stuck in ether victoria or NSW, which are a lot like
California in all regards that concern me. |

Not much to say here either, I was born in K?lding, but our family line
comes from Drag?r, sjaeland (zealand in english), Denmark. During the
war, my grandad (well first husband, my grandmother didn't have my mum
until 2nd marriage) on my mums side fought in the war, serving in the
dansih army. He was killed at the battle of N?stved. My mum's
grandmother re-maried after the war, and finally had my mum.
My dads grandad worked in a factory. No clue what they were making.
Once Germany invaded, I think he was out of a job for a while, but then
found another one. He survved the war, but died in 1991. I never knew
either of my granfathers
My dad is currently in the danish army, and my mum works at a primary school.
