Just re-posting a message I got from Koniption regarding this:
I forgot which thread I posted the centipede creature info on, so
I'll just PM the update to you, and maybe you can spread it around to
whoever:
Centipede status:
All animations are done now, but not exported.
Centipede meshes are optimally vertex weight painted to the skeleton
Centipede meshes/skeleton are not exported, and therefore not collisioned
....basically, I just need to export everything, tweak a single value
in each animation, tweak the skeleton using Nifskope (collision and
constraints), and test the creature in CS and ingame, then add
centipede sounds. Of course, unforseen problems may appear, but I've
finished a custom creature before so I've done this before....
....speaking of which, that first custom creature is my jellyfish and
it's completed. Only one other person has the files, and they aren't
ready to include the jelly in their mod yet, and it might be a long
time til they're ready. The jelly has been finished for ages, too, it
just never got released anywhere for various reasons.
Long story short - do you guys want the jellyfish creature as well? It
uses the same animation set as the slaughterfish, mostly. I can send
the files in a couple days.
Lastly, do you have anybody on your team who can make good jellyfish
and centipede soundsets?? I don't know how to work with sounds, so help
in that area will be much appreciated.
