First, I'm really sorry about the huge image files. I don't have a
scanner so I had to take a photo using a digital camera, and I don't
have a clue how to reduce the resolution. So sorry if they take a long
time to load.
Second, I realise that these concepts probably wouldn't be practical to
put into the game "as is" - they are very complicated and probably
would end up being very high poly. But that's why they are called
concepts I guess - its the job of the modeler to turn designs into
things that will work in the game.
The Great Tower of Orsinium. Gortwog has been working on this for years
in my invented backstory for the city. He claims it is a great public
monument to the glory of orc civilisation - but does it house something
more sinister? The player will spend their time in the city finding out
the answer.
Both the concepts and the photos are amazing! I'll start work right away
As for scale and complexity, Oblivion can actual take a quite
reasonable amount of polys, what tends to drag on the Fps is detailed
Colision meshes, which can be made very low poly without the player
noticing anyway.
