I think its more about "everyone lost leadership." when gysar and braggi were keeping this project going, after they disappear there was no one to lead so the people dispersed.

If the project is disbanding, will all the resources get released for modders? TOYB made some real nice models if I remember correctly.

I've just got back from holiday, and have been dealing with RL issues, but I plan to do some more work on the mod soon.

I don't really want to lead the mod, and during the time of Braggi and Gyssar's absence, I was hoping that they would come back to lead. I would prefer working on the mod as a modder, rather than leading it.

I feel the same as TOYB. I would like to contribute as a modder to this project but I just don't have the time to lead it. If someone could put the heightmap and models into the CS for me though, I might have a go at doing the region generation after I'm done with the Summerset Isles demo.

Seeing as nobody here (understandably) has time to be leader, I am going to ask around on a few forums to see if anyone would be interested in leading the project. I think the chance to lead a project would be much more likely to attract a heavyweight modder than a general recruitment post.

If we can't go forward without a leader, I would suggest that we take everything that has been made so far (models, heightmap etc.) and put it into a single archive. That way, if this mod dies and gets restarted in the future (either for Oblivion or TES5), it would all be ready for someone to pick it up on day one.

Gyssar had a height map practically ready-to-go, which is part of the reason why I'm so frustrated with him. He could have atleast uploaded it before he left.

Anyhow, I'm actually happy enough to keep 'working' on the mod, even if there isn't any full time leadership. I'm still working on the rest of the layouts (currently on Camlorns), and should have some stuff posted soon, so the mod is not dead, it just doesn't have a clear direction. I'd even still be alright being a Co-Leader, if someone here would like to, and be ready to, take on the burden of being Co-Leader aswell. However, I won't let someone outside of dealings with the mod so far get hold of the reigns.

Oh, right, I didn't realise. The situation isn't nearly as bad as I thought then. I guess the mod doesn't have to have an overall leader. What it does absolutely need though is a set of objectives.

Doh! I already posted about the mod looking for an experienced modder to act as leader. I'll have to take it down. But I guess if it does attract someone here, we can always explain to them that I jumped the gun a bit about the leadership being open. They may still be interested in working with us.

Well I did post in this thread a set of objectives to certain people to acheive, and overall everyone failed, even the objectives I set myself in that post have fallen flat (to a degree, as I've done other work on the mod instead).

For you Deeza, you need to get Orsinium's planning finished (which includes designing Courtable Npcs) and get on MSN. Also, you're a prime canidate to take on Co-Leadership of the mod with me (due to your prior connections with the mod, dedication to the mod and modding in general, and your overall stamina for modding).

For Taber42, I've already set out the things you need to do earlier in the thread, and those things mentioned are still valid things for you to be working on.

As for you Senten, it would be good for you to pick up Camlorn's development again, and I'll be posting the fancy-pants layout soon (I'm actually going to stay up all night to do it, it's 12:17 now, and I've got to be up at 5:30 to watch Obama's Inaguration ceremony, so I might aswell just stay up all night).

layouts, yes. great progress there. models? better, sure. are they in game and ready to use? do you have everything to start modding your first city/region?

one person does not make a team however. who else is here? Deeza? he is core of several projects and member of just about every project I have come across. Senten? didn't he claim to retire? now that he is back he seems to be involved in at least one other project. Any other members (Tabber comes to mind) dont seem to be active or capable of modding. the fact that nothing was posted here means that there is not enough interest. why swim against the tide? gosh, there are like 10 different projects that are just as far if not farther along. if you really want to mod you should focus on something that has actual potential, instead of a mod that is dying a 2nd (3rd?) time.

It became dead because everyone was hoping that Braggi and Gyssar, given they had posted in this thread to being with, would be properly returning; however it wasn't the case. So now we are picking up the pieces, and with the knowledge we won't be looking to them again.

Deeza's happy to do work on Orisinium still, Tabber's still working on his development claims, and Senten said he'd be working on Camlorn again, even doing some modeling for it.

And now I've gotten my hands on a complete Height Map (yes complete and good), so we are good, and I'll be sending it to whom ever wants to do the region generation asap.

If you want to go crapping on people, do it somewhere else Lady N.


Edit: I'm locking the thread to stop trolls, and because the thread has run it's course and come to a conclusion. I'll be writing up a to-do thread soon :)
