The only way we could fit wolven in is if we were to replace the
Yrgakheustch Humans with a beast race, I've considered it, but I don't
know... it could be really cool, but then again... |

Aw hell, sure, we can have Wolven, but they're not gonna be called
plain wolven. They'll be called the Ygrakheutsch, and they won't be
your run of the mill savage wolf men-- they're gonna be cooler. |

Oh my god thanks! those names are fantastic! Skyrim can use them to! some sound nordic!
So far i've come up with Lykaios-Maicoh and I know the BEST word there for the clan name, the Kiyiya Clan (Howling Wolf Clan)!

Do we really need the Dorians? They just seem kind of like filler to
me, as they have, as Siegfried said, nothing really special about them.
I remember on the Planet ES forums you(Siegfried) said that the
storyline involves(could involve? Was that a general concept and you
plan to use it, or just an example of what it could be?) an exodus of
sorts, leading the Aelorkians away to escape an invading army.
What if they migrated to the land on the East coast the Dorians
currently occupy? It could have similar climate, which makes more sense
than quickly fleeing to the mountains that they really wouldn't know
all that much about(for farming, building, surviving the seasons,
animals, etc.) As well, they could have to flee through the desert,
which would add an element of danger to it, due to the roaming
Manbeasts and raiding Nomads.
That's just an idea, it seems pretty cool to me, but that's because I'm awesome.
[/sarcasm]
Other than that, the races seem really varied and such. The only other
thing that leapt out at me was the elves. You'd definitely not want to
call them elves. Maybe not Senmer, that's up for debate, but after TES
lore formally names the elven races something other than elves, it
would seem like a big cop-out.
Oh, also, would it have any connection to Akavir? If there were Dark
Elven Sailors there, maybe the Akaviri would have been there too. Just
a quick idea that popped into my head, what do you think?

Well, I wanted something somewhat normal-- the Dorians are meant to be
the most populous nation out there--big into trading and production,
and they're supposed to be normal, I mean, its just that simple--
everything out there is very unique. The other thing is that there are
plenty of resources around that would work nicely for the Dorians.
About the refugees going to Doros-- Doros is not a very exciting place,
its mostly rolling plains and farmland. The point of sending the
refugees to the mountains was that it was an exciting place, it will be
exotic, everything will be bigger in the mountains. The other thing its
just one village of Aelorkans fleeing because they pissed off the
corrupt king of Aelorka. His forces have a better chance of catching
them if they go overland.
About the elves, maybe, what can we call them and how can we differentiate them from normal elves?

I see what you're saying about wanting a normal race, but aren't the
Aelorkans that? If not, what makes them special? You make a good point
about the mountains being exotic, and also that it's only one village.
I wasn't thinking about that.
About the elves, Senmer is fine to me, I just thought that you were
iffy on it. The Aldmer were the original elves from the past, right?
What if the Senmer were either exiles/criminals from Aldmer society,
kind of how Britain used Australia as a big prison. Or, they could be
Aldmer explorers who got lost and had to set up shop at the nearest
island they could find, kind of like the Bounty mutineers on Pitcairn
Island.
EDIT: Sorry about not seeing the thread on external relations, I had my
profile set to only show new threads since last visit, and I guess that
screwed it up somehow.

The Aelorkans are meant to be somewhat
normal as well, but politically they don't fill the same void as the
Dorians. They're also more tribal than the Dorians-- Aelorkans are kind
of Norse, they have a Druidic religion and some other things like that.
Dorians were originally a lot more exciting. It started out that Doros
was just a dry plain, and a mercenary was able to conquer it through
deceit and subterfuge, ultimately bringing everything under his rule--
it was a very wild and lawless place-- the wild east of Senaria so to
speak. As my vision of Senaria developed though, other factors forced
Doros to civilize a bit more. |

What about a strange race of dark humans and they are blind. Allof them
are blind. They could have a special power that let them see lifeforms
though and emotions.(not really implemented or playable just spoken of)
They could have very high magicka and they live in a library city. Just
an idea. Kinda wacky....but I think it could be cool. A bunch of blind
people living in a HUGE library with infintite knowledge. That is why
they have high magicka. Hmmm if this is too much than that is fine. I
just am trying to throw some ideas.

That sounds cool, but why a library. They are blind, they can't read!

I was just thinking about the Armugians, and the Roman Empire concept
is already used so much everywhere, that it could possibly turn out to
be kind of boring to make the Armugians just based off of Roman
culture. I was thinking we could either try a culture that isn't really
used much, or try to combine cultures to make a unique one. Like the
Chinese. Ancient China had a bigger empire than Rome, and was more
technologically advanced too. They wouldn't be an Akaviri re-hash, as
the Akaviri are Japanese, and Japan and China have very
different cultures. I really like the Romans too though, so if a
combination of the two could be done, it would be really awesome.

I see where you're comming from, I suppose some Chinese influence or
something wouldn't be too bad. The Armugians are going to stay largely
Roman though for two reasons:
1) Convenience, there is a wealth of unutilized Roman Resources out there.
2) Setting, they live in a volcanic wasteland, sure, Romans are done a
lot, but when was the last time they lived in a volcanic wasteland?
Picture hiking through the wastes aproaching a towering volcano, and on
it there is a city of sparkling marble, with aquaducts flowing full of
lava, towering spires... it will definitely be unique
Perhaps for the Chinese theme we can integrate something with dragons in?
