Hi all,
This is a long way off but, after following the developments in this thread: Between team cooperation? , I responded to this post by Deeza about the Skyrim beta and mentioned that I'd like to help out.
Just for the record, I've got a lot of stuff to do
first but I really admire the mod and would love to get doing some
quests at some point (I can add voices as well, np). However, besides
that concession (time demands), I have another one to make and that is
that, as things stand, I've never actually modded a quest in my life.
However, as my first love has always been writing, my first modding
experience came when I wrote a whole campaign for Thief 2 and I'm now
writing up an add-on to the 'Dark Brotherhood' mod, so it's not totally
alien to me. And I'm certainly fully qualified for the writing part. I
may even find the time to get the actual CS bits of the work nailed
down. But, for the time being, I have another modder working on this
for me over at DB.
So, as things stand, would you be okay if I submitted a document with
writings, menu prompts, dialogue, quest guidelines and any other
written material when I became available? It might not be a complete
esp file but all the writing would be done.
Deeza offered to work through this with me. We've worked on stuff for
BM before and the partnership works well, especially as he's great on
matters of lore and bouncing ideas off. I'll post back if and when I
become available and hopefully, Deeza and I can start shaping up the
beta.
P.S. I would need a few links to important lore. Personally, I've never
liked lore and always prefer to make my own mythologies but some info
and Deeza's assistance will help me make a good start.

The writing is considerably more important than the actual
implementation, if I had a nice written document for each quest putting
them in game would simply be a routine operation. The best place for
lore is probably the Skyrim pages on the the imperial library, also I
think some of the Wolf Queen book is relevant to the area, The Real
Barenziah also mentions this area of Skyrim, albeit briefly. There
isn't much lore, and we're pretty flexible anyway, so as long as it
isn't outlandishly weird it'll probably be fine.
All the relevant lore links of the top of my head:
